RE: Dragon1 info

If the striker options are "underwhelming"

I think it would be best to just get Llorente back if possible.

He's acclimatised on all levels.
'acclimatised' - there is something Ent-like about Llorente. He'd be an oak one I think.

Think Noel and Liam
That's just got me thinking of Oasis doing Chas and Dave songs and Chas and Dave (well just Dave now ?) doing Oasis songs. Would be amazing.

Always good to see @iGi.Jaydee posting don't be a stranger!

Based on all the different ITK flying about not too sure whether should be excited or depressed but the salt is on hand and I am sure it is going to be quite a ride of some sort.

Been off grid for a few hours during which things seem to have happened, Gedson In yes! Ged in son(y)
Surely the underwhelming strikers on loan is why they're to be on loan, maybe the good'uns ain't ready, LLorente would suit me fine if we can't get the crown jewels right now.

Liking this unspoken relationship with QPR. Clarke going there on loan, hopefully should lead to Eze joining in the summer (although would love him to sign this month but that’s unlikely).

Thanks for passing on again but I don’t understand if we really want the player that we don’t do a purchase and loan back. Unless we’ve got a contract with them for his sale anything can happen between now and the summer. They aren’t obligated to sell him to us without a contract.

dragon1, the first bit is about the slightly more experienced one he mentioned yesterday:
other player we are in talks with is mid twenties much more experienced
player is not at benfica

Still looking at loans for striker , all of them hugely underwhelming

We have been Spoiled with Kane for last few years - so anyone will seem underwhelming...
Whoever it is, as long as he can hold up & link up well and we play as a team, I am ok with it.

My guess would be that Amos + JC is the most they can loan from us?

JM likes and wants him. Problem is Sporting demanding 60m euros, with loan until end of season, and compulsory purchase. If loan until summer, then higher fee. That counts us out as it stands right now. Yanited also having issues with them. Because Sporting have a monetary value they want to receive. Yanited throwing various different players in the equation, but Sporting so far taking the piss on their value of the players offered. For example, it is like us offering them TN, and they say we pay 40m plus TN. Before anyone reads we are offering TN as a sweetener in any deals. WE ARE NOT!!!

Cheers Herc. Unless Bruno throws his toys out the pram then Sporting can ask for whatever they like. Utd will probably give in eventually ala Maguire.

Cheers Herc, Trix, Dov and co for the ITK including the new guy I haven’t had the time to memorize his name yet. You have all spoiled us so much today, much more than we deserve.

Utd will pay up in the end. Just like with Maguire. He's trying his hardest to be a strong negotiator but selling clubs know how much financial clout Utd have.

He stood firm in Mourinho's last summer and ended up empty handed. That set them back further, hence why the following summer they caved late on and paid a world record fee rather than do nothing again.

The question is, why is 60m too high for us? Looks like Tanganga is our new CB, Gedson is peanuts up front and the striker will be an underwhelming loan. Where did the Dybala money go?

It's weird isn't it.

This was a guy our last manager wanted. Our club wanted.

Our new manager by all accounts wants him. I guess theres no issue losing out to Utd if indeed goes there.

But why aren't we competing for him. Why is he too much?

Gelson 'gertcha' Fernandes
Still think the mis-quoting of Fernandes’ name as “gelson” alludes to Martins? ( I know nothing about him other than his Portuguese roots) Dragon said “gelson” too. Could be way off the mark?
