Loaning Bale makes lots of sense, though. He's 31 in the summer and relies so much on his physical attributes. Makes any sort of wage contribution from RM easier as well.
I am way more for this if it's say an 18 month loan. Big concern with Bale is his injuries and well his age and we'd likely have him here whilst he's still at his peak.

In the Amazon doc I really hope there’s a scene of Levy negotiating this deal, sat across the desk from Perez, earnestly sliding coins over one-by-one. Then the Ryan Air flight back where he gets annoyed because he didn’t book Priority & has to put his hand luggage in the hold.

I've never understood the conspiracy theory that the club puts out info on deals to somehow placate fans. Every time it's happened it's left me pissed off that the club won't do what is necessary to bring in top players! Hardly see how it helps the club.
They definitely do. Appeases the basic fans.

If we loaned him and paid 100% of his wages would we really be smashing our wage structure? It's his Madrid contract after all. He's gonna be making more than all of our players regardless of who foots the bill.

The question is can we afford to chuck a load of money into a short term deal with no resale? I'd say with our rapid increases in turnover it may be the best time for an opportunity like this.

In the space of a couple of pages we've had a pair of complete idiots guessing at an ITK's sources and another asking questions. Anyone else want to take the piss and resign from the ITK section?

If Madrid want him out then it’s far better for them to be paying say 50% of his wages than all of it for him to sit on the bench or be out of the squad. So not sure it’s not doable.

Being from Cardiff we all know he loves it here, when at spurs the first time he travelled to Cardiff as much as he could and loved the freedom to travel here all the time.
He is coming home...

I’m assuming we would still be pursuing a number 9? And quite likely another loan.

So just how many players on loan are we allowed?

At this rate our whole squad will be rented :D.

we really must be skint if all we can do is loans

Actually the more I think about this, its actually not a bad idea.

We cannot afford to buy him and RM want him off their books, so we loan him for a long loan, say 2/3 years and RM pay a small amount of his wages (if that's possible, dunno) then hand him back when he is past his use by date.

Win win, and probabaly the only way he will return to White Hart Lane
