Now that the Jan TW has gone by, I hope that the club starts talking to other clubs soon, on potential incomings so that the necessary paperwork can be done as soon as the summer TW is opened and our new signings are able to have a full pre-season with us.

lol. That was a good one, ardiles.

How can anyone defend Levy unless they know the identity of the players Poch turned down?

I doubt Poch turned down any of the names we've been discussing as good additions.
Perhaps the players (if any) that were offered to Poch were players whose agents had contacted Levy rather than us contacting them. Levy naturally would say to Poch are you interested in any of these players. You seem to want to put a negative slant on it as if Levy had found some bargains and offers these to Poch rather than try and get who Poch May have wanted.

I’m still optimistic that Toby & Eriksen will sign new contract extensions with us.

Toby has been very professional this season, not dropping the quality of his play despite the prior ‘rumoured’ issues about his disagreement in the contract terms offered by the club.

I think RM will go for Neymar and possibly Hazard in the summer and Barcelona might pick a player or two from South America - leaving Eriksen to consider staying with us.

The last time we were 7 points behind the leaders with 14 games left to go Levy ‘backed’ the manager with the twin signings of Louis Saha and Ryan Nelsen.

Edit: I’m not being entirely serious by the way. But the point remains about the identity of the players involved, if any.

I’d like to discuss David Brookes at Bournemouth.

He’s going to be a very popular boy in the summer.

Over at Redcafe and Arsemania, the fans are already discussing the possibility of their respective clubs going in for him in the summer.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if City and Chelsea have a sniff at him too.

Not a negative slant.

The story of the window is Levy was prepared to spend and Poch said no. Unless we know who he was prepared to spend on then how can we draw the conclusion "this one's on Poch".

I’m trying to be as positive as I can, now that the club holds the record of being the first to not have any new signings for two consecutive seasons. :D

Kane has shown Levy the way is go for a hattrick.

AHH well guess these concerned people will just have to continue to piss thier pants for the next few months. Short of getting a tattoo on his forhead saying he's staying, some people will continue to think the worst despite what the manager himself has been saying.
I’m not pissing my pants I think it’s a fair thing to raise , I’m pretty sure he will stat but by not signing anyone when money is there I think it’s a valid point to make

I'm rather proud that we have a manager who wants to create success, not just try to buy it.
Change manager to club and you're spot on.
Everyone has the same vision and goal they might not all agree the best way to get there but they are all committed to get there together.

Tottenham is the greatest team the world has ever seen
not long now until they realise
poch said it :
'time time wait wait';)

I know it doesn't work like this but it would have been nice of our chairman to recognise the work Poch has done for the club and delievered a 50mil pound player. Why will Kane stay if we don't improve.

How many teams have won the league with transformative January signings, out of interest?

From what I can gather his agent contacted us to say he was available for loan, and that was about it.

Does anyone in their right mind think Levy would offer 5mil for a player for just 4 months?
Chelsea don't need 5m
Chelsea don't want to strengthen us for sure
Really hard to get my head round that one as to why Chelsea would offer him to us.
They were either taking the piss or on a wind up.

How can anyone have a go at Levy without knowing the identity of the players he offered Poch?
Or how much we had to spend?
Or how much clubs wanted for their players?

I'm not really interested in blaming anyone anyway. It's just nice to get a snapshot of what's going on from the guys who are ITK.

How many teams have been in our position and not tried to?

How many players that moved clubs this window could you honestly see improving the team?

The winter window has always been an awkward one + people forget how ridiculous the summer window was for most clubs with the rest of Europe having a couple more weeks to get their business done and shown their hand

Sometimes on this site & this section of it in particular, I find myself, escpecially after trying to catch up by reading 3 or 4 pages in a row that I wind up turning into Ralph Wiggam. Thanks for that, you ****'s
Shame Poch didn't want the players Levy Choo Choo chose for him

I wasn't saying we should blame Levy either.

I'm just trying to point out this window shouldn't be put down as a win for BSoDL as I'm fully expecting a few posters to bang on about how "Levy was prepared to spend in January" when the summer turns into a s***show too.
