Ings is a Southampton fan. That, coupled with Pelle's recent form, IMO indicates that the Saints will try hard to sign him.

See no valid reason not to at least try to sign Benteke. Well... apart from the fact that we'll neither manage to get rid of Adebayor nor Soldado, so let's stop doing this to ourselves

Oh of course it'd be worth trying, but I can't see anyone possible scenario in which he'd agree to it. I have to agree with others though, if we're to spend, I'd much rather we spend that money on first team options, such as immensely needed winger(s).

It's true, Southampton will have a strong case for Ings. I suspect there's a decent chance of him going to Liverpool though. Their No 2 is a bit up for grabs, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them at least try to offload Balotelli, although I have no idea who will conscientiously decide to pick him up after yet another troublesome stint.

ings to liverpool would surprise - with sturridge, sterling, mario, borini, lambert and origi in the mix for the striker or two role why risk that move? Liked Kane chatting to ings at the end of last game - hope he can sway things our way

Well Balotelli will be on his way, Borini and Lambert aren't trusted or capable and Origi has not exactly been prolific at Lille. So it leaves them with Sturridge as a certainty, with Sterling likely to revert back to a midfield/winger role. I can definitely see them wanting him, especially for the low fee.

How many mistakes is that for Rodgers just amongst the strikers he has bought ? Even worse is the money he has spent on fullbacks.

I'm more worried about the wide forwards than getting in a Benteke. I'm pretty sure we'll go forward with Kane as first choice for the foreseeable future and we'll obviously need backup but I can't see that being someone of Benteke's experience. He'll want to be first choice wherever he goes. We need upgrades in a number of positions and some players who can impact the first team (pushing some of our first teamers back to more bit part and rotation when needed players).

Yep. He doesn't really know how to pick a player does he. Aspas and many others who have barely played and been forgotten about to add too.

To be fair he has basically done the same with his Suarez money as we did with the Bale money. Of the signings we made how many do you think are labeled as a success by other teams fans?

He hasn't just wasted £75m of the Suarez money, he's spent over £210m and only coutinho and sturridge can be classed as good buys. Everyone else has been pretty poor, if not v

Only Eriksen I would say. Chadli questionable. The rest, no way.

I don't think it's fair to blame all the signings and some existing players as not good enough. Some are obviously not up to scratch like Floppio, Chiriches and Walker? but take Townsend for example, he was very good at QPR when he was played in his natural position on the left wing. Playing him on the right is up there with the moronic decision to play Lennon on the left... they're not suited to the position in any way, shape or form. Capoue and Lamela had a good reputation before we signed them and they haven't all of a sudden become sh*t. The same could be said about Paulinho who put in some decent performances last season. As a team we have had little to no tactics all season and the core of the team have been poor. I think the question we should be asking, is it solely the players or more likely a mixture of low confidence and poor direction and man management by Poch? I'm not saying we should sack him but at the same time if a blatant upgrade became available and was interested in joining us then we would be mad not to make the change.

I was talking about other fans perceptions.

I personally don't think that any managerial change will affect anything but the short term.

We're still giving a chef rotten eggs and blaming him when the cake tastes rank.

He hasn't used the 'squad', instead hoping the same out of form players will miraculously come good and start performing despite the team clearly having no game plan.
