We certainly do need a good fitness coach. The best we've looked since the Newcastle game was that few months around January 2013, when our players looked ludicrously fit. They pressured and pushed for every ball, and it's no coincidence how few games we lost around that time. If AVB had managed to keep that level up he'd still be here.

£3m per year for a fitness instructor fucking great.

Should of just got Harry bassett in if this is the case.

Do people realise that players like Hoddle, Gazza, Ginola probably wouldn't get in under such a regime.

I'm very worried
Pathetic appointment again IMO

Someone is in for a long tough season

I was playing golf this evening with my cousin who is the Stoke Academy goalkeeping coach, apparently Townsend is a big troublemaker and has bust ups daily on the training ground(the info came from tony parks who was up at stoke shortly after leaving us, this wasn't the first time they met and apparently tony is a really nice guy who my cousin said could listen to his stories all day) also sherwood was speaking disrespectfully toward levy in front of the players and staff and apparently parks did not speak highly of sherwood at all and as my cousin put it thought he was a knob, on top of that the dressing room leaks during the season were coming from the chef who weirdly was in the dressing room during a lot of games but however was kicked out by Tim. And lastly according to my cousin ours and Chelsea's academy are by far the best in the country which going by how both teams don't really produce first team players seems a bit odd. I kno it's not transfer itk but I thought I'd share with you as it was interesting to hear and thought you guys would appreciate it.

Weird about the chef cooking up those leeks

Picturing some kind of fat chef with a moustache standing in a corner looking obstinate while recording every single dressing room conversation.

This isn't 1970, nutrition and fitness are vitally important in today's football. Small margins make all the difference and often teams that conceded lots of late goals do so because of fitness and as a result their concentration slips.

I'm all for us being super fit, that extra bit of energy late in games, that explosive yard of pace, extra spring in the air... Cristiano Ronaldo's talent is all well and good but it's his dedication to being a finely tuned athlete that makes him what he is
