We are actively trying to offload Lamela. But offers are loans, or derisory proposals. His preference would be Roma , and If not Roma, then still Italy.

Hmmm it's not a bad thought as Zaha could replace Lamela and be support striker to Kane plus he's home grown but U think itd be too difficult to do.

Yeah exactly what I was thinking. Might be more feasible if Lamela commanded a bigger fee.

I’m amazed that people think we don’t need attacking midfield players if we sell the likes of Lamela. Our midfield is so static and slow. We lack so much creativity.

I'm not sure what else you can expect for Lamela other than loans or small offers. What chairman would sanction a large fee for a player who has spent so much time injured. Now that Sunderland have gone to shit that is.

Seems like we’re in a sell to buy situation. Luckily we seem to have some decent prospects from sale at a decent price in KWP, Aurier, Foyth, Lamela. Could be about 60m right there. Plus Vertonghen’s decently high wages off the book.

If I’m JM, I’m looking at Lamela as the best option to offload to get one of my targets in.

Lamela never lived up to the hype. It's a shame because he loves the club but he simply isn't good enough. We apparently need funds so let's move him on and upgrade him

Why would anyone take a chance on him really with his poor Injury record? Granted he is a full International who seems to do well for the national team, but he only plays for 50% of games at most.

This is what worries me given Levy's track record in selling player we don't want anymore

I would imagine if we are selling him we are looking to replace with one of these attacking players we've been linked to. I'd love to see the burly Troy Deeney operating in the shithousery role that Lamela has occupied; sending opponents into Row Z with body checks and occupying space through his sheer girthy build. This is in jest, but seriously, I hope we do replace him with a similarly feisty type.

I think coco would suit a team like palace if there was ever to be a swap deal plus cash to be done for Zaha. His work ethic and determination is second to none and he has that flair that fans would enjoy to.

If he does go, says a lot about him that despite his evergreen injury record he is the last of the bale money to go. Just a shame that injuries have hampered is ability to be a top class player.

Levy will probably push for a loan with a commitment to buy, if he plays X amount of games. It’s hard to think how else he could be sold in this market. Maybe if Poch takes over a club he might take him for us!

Love Lamela, but I can’t see many clubs that would be willing to take the risk.

Not sure where the Zaha talk is coming from. Not exactly covering the cost with the sale of Lamela. We're much more likely to go for Wilson and possibly Eze. We need homegrown but affordable too.

Breezer mentioned Zaha last week.

I don't even see it as a risk. He's just not prolific in any sense. Any club that picks him up is getting a hard worker who is perennially injured and has very little end product. There's no risk, it's just a bad signing. But hopefully someone takes him.
