Yeah fair enough he’s probably advising him that if he stays for another couple of years he can leave on a free and get a huge signing on fee and wages somewhere else.

My point though is that Bale cannot be that desperate to leave, otherwise he’d tell his agent thanks for the advice, but I just want to leave ASAP.

he’s a injury prone 30 year old on 300k post tax with 2 years remaining on his contract at the biggest club in the world, the only way is down from there ??‍♂️

his next contract would lucky to be half of that so hes gonna milk it while he can.

Wow what a day.
Started off looking very rosy. Steve unveiled, rumours of a mystery player at Hotspur way, and suggestions that a striker was imminent.

What has actually happened is the Fernandes we maybe should have spent a little bit more for has gone to a rival. Our top striker option seems to have gone elsewhere and another player (Berge) whom a lot on here covet, looks destined for Sheffield United of all places.

Madness. Complete madness. Thanks for everyone that has contributed. Let's hope tomorrow is as equally bonkers.

Who is the mystery player at HW? Whoever they are, I hope they are talented and a battler. Hope they infuse the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with Shakespeare's passion.

So we have ITK of a player at Hotspur way who
is not a striker and we’re looking to bring a striker in before city on loan. If we can get a midfielder or RB in before the end of the window plus cover upfront, with a view to permanent that’s a pretty good window

I don’t think a right back is even on the cards. I think Jose seems ok with Aurier and Tanganga. Suggestions that Mourinho doesn’t want a DM at the moment either so I would imagine just the striker in by Friday. It’s been a decent refresh with clear objectives to improve in the summer.

Just for @Stoof and all the other :woot: fans...

W/out is a known contraction of the word 'Without'

And 'Weg' is the German road for Road or Path

Where no road or path exists, it follows that there can only be bare earth or soil.

Consequently W/out Weg gives us soil.

Of the many actors to have played Hamlet, I note one of Germany's most famous actors, one Horst Caspar, played him on stage in 1945.

Consequently, soil upon Hamlet gives us

W/out Weg Horst.

Or Wout Weghorst.

I rest my case

See. Easy when you think about it.

Not sure about that. I just think we know our targets and are willing to wait. Been lots of talk of Aarons from the press and ITK. If a deal was doable now I think we would do it.

Really interesting that JJ is still confident of us pulling off a loan move for a striker. You have to wonder which ones are actually available on loan at this point. It seems that William Jose and Giroud both are more likely to be let go as permanent transfers rather than loans ?‍♂️
