If he was on a longer contract I'm convinced he he wouldn't be getting rid of him so previous.

Capoue is a victim of circumstance.

THFC, consequently, is a victim of timbo's short term agenda.

Yeah, I hate getting so many points from so many games - especially as things were so good under the previous guy this season... Oh, hang on... If this is being a victim, then tie me up and beat me with a truncheon.

Is this the same short term agenda that involves integrating academy products into the team instead of relying on spunking £10m on midfielders that are still playing for midtable French teams at the age of 25?

Whose agenda is exactly short term? If anyones it was the previous regimes

I'm actually fearing for Sandro and especially Paulinho. Can you imagine their faces when Tim tells them that he is keeping Bentaleb in team because he has never seen them play.

:(

tim started paulinho in the one game he's been available for.

I know. Picking sides to win games, what a cad. Its clearly a massive agenda tim is working towards.

The funny thing is, if we had just signed Bentaleb from some obscure Croatian side and just repeatedly referred to him as a 'wonderkid' people would be screaming for his inclusion, they wouldnt even need to see him play, but because he is an academy boy and not an exotic signing instead he isnt good enough.

People referring to bring players through the academy into the first team squad as short term thinking is actually pretty hilarious.

Ugh, I really hope the club aren't thinking about selling Capoue during this window.

Here's a novel idea. Why don't we keep him for a bit longer and give him a chance….?

Problem is that Timmy is a bellend n wants to play his whole youth team to replace our first team squad. Does he think he is playing the wenger role here at the mighty LANE!

Guess the leaks didn't come from tim after all.
The leaks have reduced after every managerial change & after Redknapp a few lost their contacts IMO. Old timers here say info was far freer even before him.
As such, Sherwood, who's been there throughout and seemingly had the ear of Levy, can't be someone who tells much to anyone.

Despite many guesses to the contrary, Sherwood is nothing to do with JJ; he's said so repeatedly in the past.

Saying all that if Baldini & Levy are the transfer guys now, then neither seems to reveal much to anyone.

Or maybe now its not in his interest to leak?

Anyways this idea of Tim bringing in the kids as he doesnt trust the others is a case of fans over analysing yet again. Bentaleb has proven his worth and Tims decision is justified in his performances. He picked him because he knows he is a class player. Maybe we should look at the positive. AVB probably didnt know who Bentaleb was.

How long do you have to be on here to be considered an old timer? Been posting for 9 years now.
I know jj's contact isn't sherwood he's said it many times. He's even said who his contact was but you'll have to go back a few years to find out.

There you go, you know a ton more than me then! I'm no old timer; that's why I said it.
And you can see that Sherwood ain't talking.

Isn't a French Algerian who speaks English like an English from the slums exotic enough?:)

You rear ends know what I mean.:finger:

If you think getting rid of capoue isn't rash and detrimental to the club, then just wait until Sandro gets crook again.

Take a look at our march fixtures and tell me if you wouldn't want capoue in the squad for that lot.

If he's sold I can guarantee it won't be long before this forum will be littered with posts raging at why we sold him and how mad it was to do so.

And I'll be right...again.:woot:
