Interesting that we've accepted bids for Dawson. AVB must have been impressed with Caulker as that would leave our centre back options as Kaboul, Vertonghen, Gallas and Caulker.

All this talk of outgoings is all well and good, but where is the incoming player news? Where is it?! RARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

I think it's a real positive actually as how many times before have we all discussed our bloated squad and the requirement to 'sell to buy'?

I'd wager these next two weeks will be absolutely manic at the club - both in's and out's.

Bid accepted does not necessarily = player leaving.

Dawson would still have to want to leave and for that he will need to have been told whether or not he is surplus. He might be happy to fight for his place.

IF he does leave though I will be sad, like Dawson a lot, even though I know there are better defenders, he is/has been a great servant to the club.

I think this gives Caulker a bit more a chance to get games and develop with us. Which i'm 110% in favour of.

Spot on. I mean, Caulker has had at least 1 full season in the prem now with Swansea and is ready to be playing back up to our first teamers in the prem and be a first choice pick for the cups.

Unfortunately Dawson was always going to be a victim of the AVB high line, simply doesn't have the required pace. AVB would have loved to have sold Terry last season for the same reason...well...not just that reason I'm sure!

But how many times have we sold players and not adequately replaced them? Raziak for Kanoute? Campbell for Berbatov? Zokora for Carrick?

Sad to see daws go but its no shock is it....he didnt make the squad saturday so obviously something was happening. but i believe the club as it is is doing the right thing. We must have had a pretty decent offer for him and we have caulker stepping in to replace. Thats how tottenham should be run....providing caulker steps up to the mark. So good luck daws and cheers!

ps. might get shot here but i dont fancy llorente either....not at stupid money anyway! much happier with ade.

Wasn't the Bostock one lower than the transfer fee we actually offered Palace in the first place?

Hehe. Simon Jlolrdan.
The figure was £700k + add-ons I think we had offered a deal rising to £2m!

Modric, Jenas, Rose, Bassong, Dawson and Huddlestone also rumoured to be outward bound.

The whole Fryers story has gone quiet, but if we are thinking of letting Rose go, we must have somebody lined up to cover BAE.

Numbers are looking thinner, we'll need midfield reinforcements. Unless we can negotiate Porto down, I can't see it being Moutinho, so I'm expecting M'villa as Modric's replacement, although Pjanic? was linked yesterday. This Israeli kid sounds promising too, maybe replacing Jenas as the squad player.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also linked, like a cheap Loic Remy, would do for me as wide forward cover, also able to play up top. Adebayor in, Leandro to follow according to yesteday's ITK. And despite AVB's denials, I can't see us keeping Defoe if we get Ade and are still looking for another striker as JJ alluded. AVB also said Kane would be striker no.3, so with Aubameyang as more wing cover ish, we'd have greater options.
Was that JJ declining to answer questions about Leandro, or something else?

If he goes he'll get a hero's reception everytime he comes back to the Lane, much like Paul Robinson does. Always gave his all & plays the game with a smile on his face. Sad day if he goes, Love ya Daws, thanks for the memories
