Love to be wrong but am Pessimistic about today... been here to many times with glamour names thrown about in the lead up to deadline day only for disappointment when either we sign no one or end up with a Sissoko! I'm awake earlier than ideal with a Whisky hangover so am currently irritable and pessimistic.

I'm hitting the bottle again if we haven't signed five players by 10am.

Personally at 10am I would start with a Glenmorangie and then later in the day move to Islay. You will need something peaty and strong. I like the 18 year old Laphroiag. If we confirm Aurier today then anything else is a bonus. At 9pm tonight I will have a whisky - 10am your time - cheers.

I expect a bit more. Aurier alone would be disappointing; Aurier + 1 would be good; Aurier + 2 would be great.
