I'm not his biggest fan, but the move does give us a lot more flexibility/versatility in the squad. Something we desperately needed in midfield. We still need a more creative player, and I'm hoping that doesn't really screw us over in the first half of the season.

I'm not sure why people keep on using the Euros as an example to justify his signature. I watched all of Wales games live and Joe Allen played like Pirlo, I still wouldn't him at Spurs. The key is what he has done in this format and the reality is that amounts to not a lot over the last few years.
