Think overall it was a solid window. If we had added Wan Bissaka or Aarons and Dybala or was dreaming we'd try for Sancho it would have been incredible. Really hope Eriksen stays as with him our midfield is really strong.

Excellent business. We knew going in that all weaknesses wouldn't be adressed (DM, FB will still need significant upgrades over the next few years), but we have strengthened the main pains in CM/AM and gotten two youngsters with first team potential in. Delighted with our signings.
Not completely done with our clear out yet but from experience, this will take 2-3 transfer windows.

Poch said “painful rebuild”.
Poch said “act like a big club”.
Poch said “change the way we play”.
And arguably, Poch identified these 3 as priority signings and Levy delivered all 3.

Imo, and this is where I may get the disagrees, regardless of whether we keep Eriksen this window, these signings look absolutely crucial for the way Poch wants to play.

The common denominators amongst them 3?
1. They are excellent at receiving the ball under pressure and
2. Dribbling and driving forwards
3. Beating their man
4. Excellent short n long range passing ability, especially setting up chances or the pass before the final ball
5. Can finish
6. Can hustle and press and do their share of defensive work due to their tenacity and fitness and willingness to get stuck in

Eriksen, on his day, can pick out a pass like nobody else can, can score from outside the box and has great delivery from crosses BUT he really doesn’t do 1,2,3 and 6 well enough

So I think we are evolving. And I trust Poch to know how to mitigate and navigate.

We are due more luck on the injury front and I believe we have a squad that can challenge this very season!

- AM - should be a star to really make things happen in the final third
- RB - Atal maybe?
- CB - TBD

...and we need to ship:

- Eriksen
- Wanyama

I don't think that major surgery. Eriksen and Wanyama we could/should ship this summer if we can, and then we could just keep it focused on incomings

The thing is, both Ndombele and Lo Celso were tipped to go to the "biggest clubs" this summer.

I'm not sure there are many on here who thought we'd 100% be able to sign them, and yet we got our men.

They are X factor players, but have been slightly overshadowed by the romanticism of the Dybala chase.

Well if we was trying to sign dybala shows we have money to spend, by Christmas we can assess the squad and strengthen in January if we need to, I know poch prefers not to buy in January but it may help us. But I am very happy with our summer business. Mainly as levy has delivered Pochettino’s targets
