With all respect I would expect his agent or club to have informed us about the image rights deals and for us to have had a solid plan/offer in place in order to get around that.
Sorry all those that negged this but ‘homes under the hammer’ rules. Read the legal pack! ?

Given his dedication to Spurs, and to reporting on Spurs, I think this thread is as good as any to wish a happy birthday to @Allygold ... i joined SC because in my search for any Spurs news I stumbled across his musings some 15 years ago and I’m sure I’m not the only one, so I could well not have the privilege of enjoying this amazing transfer and itk forum had it not been for him. Many happy returns old bean.

Aye. Happy Birthday Ally. I joined this forum in 1993 as he recommended me to it. We were both at another forum which closed down.

Lo casio happened because betis worked with us, lisburn did not

BF was always the fallback option nothing more nothing less! Medical was booked but as soon as Lo Celso fee was agreed BF became irrelevant.

Tough break for him but that's modern football I suppose. Feel bad that he probably had his heart set on a move.

No he kept his commitment and got kicked out of school for stealing a laptop. LOL. Yes, it worked out for him because he was never getting a chance over Tebow and he wanted to play immediately. The other QB we took was a legacy (John Brantley) and he went on to be awful.

I'm a Texas fan, that Brantley flip was painful at the time. He got bit by the Mack Brown curse, his career never recovered.

This must happen a lot. Can see how easily it is for a player to become disgruntled at a club when they see a potential move away fall apart last minute

Really must piss off the player, stuff like this? Or is it explained to his agent/himself at the time? One day I’m off to London, the next not.

.

Deals fall apart for all different reasons(a final bid we know is too low for instance). I'm quite sure none of the players are actually told it was because they were only a back up option.
