I go on holiday for 2 weeks on Monday, I always go on holiday for 2 weeks at the end of August. I always spend shit loads of money on my phone checking SC whilst abroad waiting for a stellar signing that doesn't arrive, VDV exception, will this year buck the trend?

bugsdad posted the following on the Twitter thread.
Could put the cat among the pigeons if it is true.

acc to this, it apparently says Mourinho has pulled the plug after Levy changed the price and Modric is on his way back to London...

http://www.vecernji.hr/sport/vijest...t-madridu-mourinho-odustao-luke-clanak-442907
anyone speak Espanol?
anyone able to verify if that is what it says?
Or Croat?

Google translate says:
According to latest information from Madrid, was abruptly canceled soap opera about Luka Modric moving to Real Madrid, and with a completely unexpected outcome: the transfer (for now) will not be anything!
Specifically, the source is near to our team, the transfer is stopped Jose Mourinho after Daniel Levy once again started to raise prices, even though the clubs are reportedly already agreed on the sum of 35 million.
When he heard that Jose Levy has new desires, banged his fist on the table and say - enough!
Translation
As much as he cared to come to Port Real, Jose does not allow itself to be insatiable Tottenham chairman pulls the nose.
He pulled a drastic move and probably very disappointed that the Port of London awaits cue to fly to Madrid to sign the contract.
True, a transitional period lasting until 31 August and when these great deals wiser, reversals are always possible. But the mood of people in Madrid, things are not developing in Modric favor - his dream at the moment "frozen at -35" with little chances for something to change ...
For more information read the printed edition of Vecernji list from Saturday.

Can't tell if the article is a pisstake or that is the Google translation. Sounds like the full story is being trailed for tomorrow.
If the google translation is anything to go on then this is a bullshit story. So Jose Levy bangs his fist on the table!!

We all want a world class striker, midfielder, etc... but so does everyone. I'm disappointed, like you.
Will we get one? Tell me where from?

Upgrades is what we want. Fucking upgrades. I'm sick of levy fucking about trying to buy world class for not enough money. Can't afford the wages anyway. Jesus. That's not a dig St your post by the way mate.

That article sounds like a cheap farce.

"The Insatiable Businessman Pulls Your Nose" starring Kenneth Williams as Daniel Levy and Frankie Howard as Jumpin Jose. (Babs Windsor as Donna Cullen)

"Give me more money"
"Ooh, cheeky"
"Stop banging my table"
"I'll pull more than your nose when I get hold of you"
"you're moving my (goal)post"
"oh I say"

And so on and etc...

Can u imagine what wheeler dealer goin a say if we lose tomorrow ffs
My guess would be that he'll just recycle the same old crap that we heard over the last few years. Expect lots of words, including a few 'it's difficult' but nothing of any consequence.

MOTD is really scraping the barrel if he's going to be a regular on it. A few 'funny' comments but fuck all else. Waste of the licence fee.

If anyone wants advice on neg repping....insult Andy Murray...the red crosses go through the roof!
The sweaty tennis player? I might try that. He's an ugly fucker who I don't like very much and it will probably be quite theraputic ripping into him. I'll keep my eyes open for a reason to do it.

To be fair he is almost inviting criticism with the way he has handled the window so far.
If you - or anybody else - had any idea about 'how he has handled the window so far' then you might be able to look at it and to argue that point. But you don't. All that we know is derived from vague ITK messages and bullshit spin-led press articles. He might be playing hardball with Madrid/Porto/Inter/other clubs we don't know. He may have offered the asking price for Moutinho/Damiao. We may have agreed terms with Bilbao and wages with Llorente but his girlfriend/boyfriend/pet monkey doesn't want to live in London. There are any number of variables.

Never mind that, though. Let's just blame Levy because we haven't signed the striker that we all want. It must be his fault, right?

You always have the alternative.

He could have agreed a deal that we'd be happy with. But levy and the board really want to fick us up.
They've had plenty of chances to buy players that would win us the league, but they didn't just to wind us up.

Spurs are so poor that when we heard about the last supper we thought they run out of food stamps.

Please accept my apologies for the tone of what I am about to write, but the astonishing stupidity of that phrase has somewhat irritated me. Here's how I see it:
Daniel Levy is, via ENIC, a part-owner of the club.
The value of the club directly affects Daniel Levy's pocket.
Daniel Levy understands that in order for the value to increase the club has to be successful. This means win football matches.
Daniel Levy understands that in order to win football matches you have to score more goals than you concede.
Daniel Levy understands that strikers are the players who are most likely to score those goals.
Daniel Levy knows how many strikers play for the club and who they are.
Daniel Levy is also a Spurs fan and can therefore be assumed to want the team to be successful.

Given the above, and forgive me for shouting here, but
WHY THE FUCK WOULD LEVY AND THE BOARD WANT TO FUCK US UP?

EDIT: Spurge has just pointed out that you may have been joking, Lilbaz. In which case, I apologise and will happily accept your 'dumb' ratings for all of my posts from now on.

I rated it as a winner, as it's a good post - however, I'm not sure it's Lilbaz that it should be aimed at!
Cut and paste it though dude, it will probably be needed a few times more before the window ends.

In which case, please feel free to introduce a rating for 'dumbest post in the history of the internet' and award it to me. 'Complete sense of humour failure' would also be appropriate.

And please convey my apologies to Lilbaz when you see him.

Like McFlash says, there's plenty of people it does apply to on here.

Anyways...back to my Micky Flanagan DVD :D
