Thanks for the info.
Eriksen staying and committing would be wonderful. Bloody marvellous.

Not sure Danny is the Mentoring type:unsure:
I disagree. The way he’s handled his issues has been first class and inspirational. Also the way he’s knuckled down and improved is great.

Plus him drinking a bottle of beer on the pitch after the Semi will be a lasting memory.

Cheers @Hercules , if what you say is true, it’s probably the way it always should’ve been and it’s a shame for all involved that such a deal wasn’t negotiated last summer, eg if we don’t get top 4, this is your release fee for prem cl clubs, this for foreign cl clubs. If we do get top 4, this is your release fee for foreign cl clubs. Etc etc. I’ve long though that this seemed the obvious way to go to protect both his interests and ours, though admittedly I know quite literally nothing about the inner workings of contract negotiations for world class footballers.

Re the naming rights itk: well that’d be grand but I feel like we’ve been here before.

Cheers for the info @Hercules

Be absolutely a statement of intent if we could renew Eriksen/Rose contract and sign Ndombele and G-Lo.

Add to this hopefully looking at doing something at RB and sorting the Alderweireld situation. Either by way of replacing personnel, or keeping Toby and just strengthening the RB position.

Be feckin well chuffed if this can be delivered.

CE! The reports coming out about considering a new 4 year contract with us is true. It is all about the minefield of clauses. It will not deter our quest to bring in two midfielders, which is well documented
This would be genuinely extraordinary. For that reason I just can’t see it.

It would be absolutely incredible. Like seriously incredible.

I just won’t let myself believe it as it’d be too good to be true

Don’t want to get in trouble. So I will say this once, and comment no further! As I believe it is imperative to KILL talk ‘it will effect our spending’ IT WILL NOT!!!
Would you mind killing the we are "low balling and faffing around" talk too? While you've got the shotgun out. :sneaky:

Just kidding, Cheers for the info as always Herc, its much appreciated.

VJ and GKN - Time to cut our losses? No one wants to buy them, they must be costing us at least £5m per year in wages between them - Assets written off, time to release on a free?
Levy would rather send them to Alfred Simmonds.

Well if this comes to fruition then it really is the best outcome.

Not surprised about GK or VJ. It's the other side of buying for potential, if they don't push on then you're left looking at a loss.

You can't just release them. They are owed their salary until the end of their contracts. Well, technically we can release them but would still have to pay what they are owed. We'd then be doing ourselves out of backup players and possible future transfer fees.

I think he means to let them go for free. So Spurs lose the player, dont get a transfer fee, but are released from paying the rest of the contract.

Wow, positive ITK all round, on transfers and naming rights! N’dombele, Winks, Dele and Eriksen In the same team would be pretty exiting!!

Does Igi still frequent these parts or was he made redundant over the last two windows?

Believe all this signing very expensive world class midfielders thing when I see it. But I'm not greedy- I'd willingly accept another year of Davies, Trippier and Llorente to watch nD and GLo running tings in the midfield minefield.
