I keep trying to get people to save their meltdown until they know what they are melting about but no, melts are gonna melt. It's genuinely embarrassing seeing what I assume are grown men, literally having nervous breakdowns over a poxy transfer when at any time, we could still turn it around. Yes, I know we've been here before and I get that it's the likely scenario but you don't get on a boat and start booing because the fucking Titanic sank do you.

I really, really REALLY don't get how people don't mind outing themselves as being emotionally stunted crybabies over this. Without even batting an eye, 'look at me expressing my lack of length 'down there'

Entertaining? Slightly but it wears off. Wait, just wait FFS.

Ahh the voice of reason I need this every 5 mins to calm me down.

Hoping to get someone over the line as otherwise there will be a huge amount of disgruntled supporters in the stands at WHL. Please Levy try harder for Poch, supporters and finally for our beloved SPURS.

This is not a knock on the ITK we get but you have to question the sanity of this constant merry-go-round of information!

I literally cannot get my head round how the information being ‘leaked’ to ITKs changes so rapidly - literally by the hour!

I just struggle to believe that it is this chaotic behind the scenes.

Does Poch just walk around HQ repeating his usual phrases in an attempt to stay sane?

“This is true.”

“We are calm.”

“We are so positive”

Only two days to see how this pans out. I have a feeling I know the outcome however will remain hopeful Baldy will pull through. Just hope it won't upset the gaffer if we do have a lack of activity...

You're incredibly right, of course, A&C. I am starting to meltdown a little, but I'm a Dolphins fan so it's not out of my way. That said, I'm also trying to remain positive because you seem so calm. Here's hoping. Thanks for all your work.

Honestly, this thread is more shambolic than the window itself ;)

I think when looking at the info coming down, we also need to remember that we don’t know who the sources are, and this is especially worth remembering when the info comes with an emotive opinion attached. Source could be one of the agents the club works with, who is pushed off that we’ve shelved a bid for a player he’s been working on, or is delighted that we’ve made progress on a player he’s been working on. It could be someone close to the board, so the info will likely be spun in a pro Spurs way (e.g. vilifying outgoing player). It could even be a journalist who has his finger on the pulse but is trying to throw people off the scent of a story he is due to break. There are hundreds of avenues through which we get information, and it’s always passed on in good faith, having been severely vetted. Fact is, every bit of info we get, we get for a reason, and those reasons are not necessarily because the itks source is a purist believer in freedom of information. So just enjoy it, be grateful for the insight we do get, be aware that we only ever get a fraction of any given story and save the vitriol, histrionics and melodrama for when you have tangible, factual reasons to do so.

I would imagine it has gone from being another thing that happens in the usual day to being the sole focus now hence the speed of updates.

Worth noting A&C seems pretty calm by usual standards. In other years at this point if he thought nothing was coming he has always said save your meltdown for after the close. That statement would suggest we are confident behind the scenes of closing some stuff!
