I said it the other day, I really don't think we should be dismissing Holtby, and we don't need Erikksen. Holtby needs a fixed position in the side, if that happens I think he will flourish.

All this Bale shitstorm has taken the gloss off what we have done so far and meant we have fuck all else to think about for the last couple of weeks.

Bit of a wanker really.

I haven't seen much of Alderweird but Eriksen is the type of player we are crying out for. Someone who thinks and has a bit of craft.
Neither is ready for our first team, especially Eriksen over the likes of Sandro, Paulinho, Dembele and Holtby. Then you have to question the role of Bentaleb and Carroll as the first 4 arent anywhere near their prime yet imo and they will find it hard even more so when a player like Eriksen comes and plays in the same role. I dont mind if deem them good enough but I think it is unfair to deem players not good enough without giving them a chance. A lot of world class players in the past have been poor in training but beasts on the pitch.

As for Alderweld, Im not keen tbh and we need a LCB if anything at the moment as Caulker looked lost at LCB and dont want us to sign another young CB and then play him in the wrong side while he is trying to learn the game

I dont know if someone mentioned it here - Richard C.... (a well known Spurs fan in twitter land) said 2 days ago that he has heard from his club sources that we will land 2 from Ajax - one LB & one CB - he did not speculate who though.

Alder'wierd' is one and guess is between Boilesen & Blind on LB.
Though Blind is first team LB, Boilesen is highly rated as well. My money is on later.

Boilesen is nowhere near ready for a move. He's had injury problems and really hasn't been much of an option for Ajax to this point in his career. He's talented, but he needs to overcome his injury woes before he's a realistic option for Ajax, let alone Tottenham.

Eriksen not ready for the first time? He could walk into most clubs starting 11's that aren't Real Madrid or Barcelona!

Agreed. But I cant see how Ajax can let go of 2 of its defensive starters - unless the offer is very good.

Way too expensive. He would be like double the caulker money. We already have Verts who is a clear beast and Kaboul who could be one if fit. We don't need another world beater necessarily, just need someone solid and preferably young.

JMO, we need a ball playing defender to back up Verts. We have our traditional stoppers in Kaboul and Dawson and Caulker always looked awkward when filling in or Verts last year in that position. Vlad would be the perfect addition imo, as he would slide perfectly in Verts position and is still young and developing.

Alderweireld is probably going to be replaced by van der Hoorn who they just bought from Utrecht I think just last month. Blind could be replaced by Boilesen but there's always the injury concerns they would have to worry about. I felt like Blind improved so much last year but I do believe we could do better and I actually like Bruno Martins Indi a lot in that role. I hope that ITK was more about Dutch league as opposed to just Ajax.

At this moment it seems possible that we get Eriksen for Dempsey and Alderweirald for Caulker replacements.

I dont think we can get hold of Blind.

Dont want to post twitter in here but the official Ajax posted today something about Daley Blind a "contracten" and
a picture of Blind and De Boer. I can't read Dutch though...

edit - by that i mean i could be totally wrong

Probably true then.... so how can we get both from Ajax? Unless its the 2 contract rebel. :)

What other position can Eriksen play? Surely he better than Dempsey? Anyone?
