Good morning ITK'ers. Yesterday saw hissyfits, birds with tits, boredom, spam, a locking of the thread, more boredom and a women venture out of the kitchen. Cheeky bint.

Me and the mrs were staying in a hotel last week and I called hotel management from the hotel room and said, "Please, come quick. I'm having an argument with my wife and she says she'll jump out the window"

"That is a personal matter," answered the hotel manager.

"Fuck you!" I screamed. "The window won't open so that's a maintenance matter."

Last night's lateness brought some ITK of sorts..........JJ on Twitter

Morning all. There is so interesting info from JJ there, i'm not sure what he means by Leandro's agent doing a bunk during the Olympics. Does he mean he ducked out of the Olympic Park to come and negotiate with us or does he mean he ducked out of negotiations with us?

Hey JJ, long time listener, first time caller. Are we interested in Benteke at all? Although the Defoe and cash rumours sound like a good deal, that type of deal rarely happens. But Benteke would fit us like a FUCKING GLOVE. And we have Verts & Dembele to make him feel more at home. And there's a Belgian chocolate shop in North London. My only worry is that Belgians do like their paedophile rings so he may well be tempted by Arsenal.

He is the striker I'd like most. Villa would be great but Benteke is young & proven in the league. Nice Belgian spine. I hope the rumours in this instance are true, though I fear he'll end up at a CL club.

West Ham are having a real good go according to the press circles. Targeting UEFA Cup slot next season. Chelsea will spend big and Arsenal as we know have money to burn. Dont want to be left behind

The context suggests it's about Spurs but really it's quiet across the whole of Europe, a few deals (Monaco) have gone through and City beginning to make a few moves (without a manager confirmed) but otherwise it's small deals here and there. Euro U21 starts tonight and Confed Cup is soon, maybe that will complicate things - although it would be stupid to buy players based on a tournament alone.

But agents and players often want to wait until after a tournament, hoping that their performances up their value and desirability to more clubs. People need to remember it might not be us waiting, but the players we are after.

On a more serious not, that hashtag #notthecalmbeforethestorm was rather deflating but I'm pleasantly surprised that Levy seems to trust a manager/head coach, makes a refreshing change but begs the question where was the trust in January?
