Eriksen could be Madrid’s new Gravesen who wouldn’t want to follow in those footsteps. I honestly wish him the best. He will be a massive miss for us but I appreciate all he has done for us and he deserves his dream move. If I was decent at football and playing for Madrid I wouldn’t want them getting in the way of my dream move to Spurs after years of good service. Hopefully this get sorted in the next couple of weeks one way or another.

You mean playing one season for them and then being shipped off to Celtic?

I'd imagine Eriksen is getting 'pissy' because the clubs are miles apart on valuation. Well, it's not like there aren't weeks to go in the transfer window where details can be ironed out so, he just needs to keep a bit of dignity and bide his time for a short while without losing his reputation as a cool dude. I'd also add that he's probably nervous that Madrid will sign Pogba and pass on himself, but that really isn't our problem if they want Pogba more. Levy will push hard for THFC and I fully support that stance.

I hate it when people get pissy. I remember the stink waiting in the queue at the post office on pension day. I'm surprised it's a problem with Eriksen though .

I’m putting the “pissy” comment down to the side of the fence that the ITK comes from. There are more than 1 side to the story.

Yes. Cave in for Eriksen and others will follow suit. With clubs pricing players out of moves we’ve started to see a swing in players running down their contracts and leaving for nothing. Eriksen is doing himself no favours here.
So what, players are perfectly entitled to do that, has he ever not honoured the contract he signed with us? Is he downing tools and going on strike to get a move? If by doing himself no favours you mean some Spurs fans are a bit pissy about it, I don't think he'll really care.

Pretty indifferent about Eriksen leaving, but he can definitely go if he’s going to be a bitch about it.

That's what they want you to think! The spin machine is starting the rev up now which can normally means one thing, he is off.

No they’re not, he signed a contract with us and when he decided pre Christmas he wanted to leave this summer, instead of being professional and still doing his job he put in 6 months of sub par performances to the detriment of himself, his proposed dream transfer and Spurs. We’ve had multiple ITK this summer that he’s changed his mind multiple times, it’s not acceptable. You either commit to the club or you leave, you don’t mess the club about.

There is a point when a player becomes dead to me.

We had ITK that he would sign a deal if RM or a move he wanted didn’t come up. The thing is if Madrid have made an offer that is way below our valuation then he is most probably being pissey because it’s a good chance his dream will not come true, or not for at least 1 more season.

Getting a little tired of comments about form after Xmas, please PM me the answers because I’d be interested to know who did perform well after Xmas on a consistent basis

I'd imagine that if he is getting stroppy, Poch will be pretty keen to shift him out before pre season. It's quite risky from Eriksen though since I'm not that convinced that RM really want him that much or that he'll get much of a chance if he goes there. Reminds me a bit of Coutinho to Barca although they obviously wanted him big time.

Poor form is unprofessional? What was the rest of the side's excuse then?

Just for reference; Hazard on his last year of his contract went for 88.5m (with add ons as well). We should be expecting 70 - 75 million at the very least.
As much as I understand your point...in my opinion, Hazard is such a different level of player than Eriksen. He can single-handedly make a subpar team competitive. I don't feel that CE has shown that ability.

We're really going to miss Toby when he leaves. I think some people are underestimating how important he is to the team - he'll be a bigger loss than Eriksen imo.

That partnership with Vertonghen is one of the best in the league. It will hurt even more if he moves to a rival in the PL.

I think we will definitely need a replacement - Foyth has potential but is still raw, Dier is too error prone and lacks concentration and I'm not totally convinced by Sanchez.
I was with you there until you said you were not convinced by Sanchez

You just do not want to think that your idol is above being "pissy"? I have no reason to doubt the ITK. Some of you need to take Eriksen off your collective pedestals.
No, but just like I don’t go and get a tattoo with name of every player that an ITK has said is ‘done deal’ I also need more than just an ITK post for me to get on Eriksen’s back

His form over the last six months or so had been well below the standard that he himself had set in pervious seasons.

I like how people believed he would sign a new contract if he didn’t get a move. It was obvious from before a Christmas he wanted to leave but he’s not man enough to actually say it
Of course we did. Multiple ITK said he would sign if Madrid didn’t come in.

Hazard deal is different case really for me. He was wanted by Zidane and Perez and he was their priority signing, so Chelsea made more money. For Eriksen case, Zidane seems not to convinced with him and still prefer Pogba. That's lowering the price.
