Really don't understand why everyone gets their knickers in a twist minute someone says something negative about how we're going about things. Even most optimistic of posters can surely see we have some major issues that need addressing.
It's so tedious seeing anyone who says anything negative being accused of having a nervous breakdown, all it does is makes that poster exaggerate further.
We probably will bring in the players in the positions we need, when who knows, whether they are the right players who knows.

Fact we are starting season with in my opinion huge gaps in the squad is a major concern and it is a big disappointment that any signing from now won't have had any pre season with us.

We are going into the season with a stronger squad than last season (when we finished 5th) and having gotten rid of the deadwood. All the ITK is pointing to us getting in another couple of players soon. But people act as if we are going to get relegated. They then proceed to whinge and moan and throw their toys out of the pram. That's fine they are entitled to do so every now and then. But going on for hours on end for a couple of days gets a bit wearisome.

That said it's my birthday and I'm going bowling and getting laid. Good day to you gents.

Ok Stoof, you're right. It's perfectly normal for a team with top 4 aspirations to only have 1 recognized striker. More to the point, i'm over the moon with our current situation, couldn't be happier mate.

imo, If he doesn't want to come play in what is deemed to be a better league, for a team playing in Europe albeit in the Europa Dopa, earning more dosh that he currently is (just a guess on wages) then he needs a new agent & a slap round the face with a medium to large sized salmon.

Nope not for me, I watched football over forty years before the window idea started, nothing wrong with bringing players in during the season, if most people can't take that then they need to grow a pair.
We are getting good ITK we ought to be optimistic, I am.

I've been watching since before the window stuff too but we need our business done prior to the man utd game for me. Other teams seem to get it wrapped up so why can't we? Going into the utd game with potentially 1 striker is fucking stupid imo. I just hope Kane doesn't get clattered that's all.

Actually we have 3 international strikers in our team and all 3 have managed almost 30 goals in a season. Get a grip for fuck sake. Neither of Soldado or Ade will go without a replacement being imminent or done. If Kane gets injured tonight expect someone within 12 hours to be closed out.

Every club will be chasing business up to the end of play, 4 games into the season. Thats the nature of the beast, you might as well paste your comment into every clubs forums. Blame UEFA or whoever decided that it was a good idea to have a window that overlaps the season start.

Transfer window shuts at 6pm any way.

Yes but when the squad is blatantly not ready for the start of the season it's a bit silly isn't it! I'd agree with your post if we had what we needed and were only chasing the odd squad player to bulk out the ranks.

JJ has told us that we should all be pleased with our transfers by the end of the window. That's ITK and he hasn't said anything different since.

That's enough to keep me sane and intrigued about who we will buy. (Not going to start guessing A&C) so surely it is better to sit back and see what happens instead of making huge assumptions about our transfer policy.

JJ would also be the first to tell you that things change very quickly in football and in transfers. I'm sure though he will tell us more when he feels it possible......and hopefully its good news!

Going into the season with one senior striker is a clusterfuck of frankly epic proportions. What sort of mickey mouse club does this? Dont give me 'ade and soldado are still spurs players', no they arent.

Great window clearing out the shit and happy with the additions so far but if we go to Old Trafford with Harry as our only recognised striker this is an embarrassment.

The Goat has heard that both Adebayor and Soldado have cleared out their lockers. Also that both departures are expected by the weekend but the club want it done sooner rather than later.

We are hoping to bring Werner to watch the United game on Saturday and this on Berahino (from two sources), firstly, that he's been to the training ground and also that we could have him signed by Saturday.
