Toby, Janssen, Llorente, Dembele and GKN out £85m and de ligt, martial, some german and another german £200m would be reasonable

No, it was widely reported that Greaves was bought for £99,999 because he didn't want to be the first £100k player.

You misread me. What I meant was Peters total cost was 120,000 plus Greaves on top of that as part payment. As Greaves was rated at 80,000. Peters actually cost 200,000.

Talk of when the contracts will be announced. To coincide a little with the kit launch? Around the same time imo.

I can't believe how many people are moaning about the jokes in these threads. I've just done a quick count up of funny ratings from the previous thread and there's over 950 from us guys and another 200 or so from A&C. The humour on here is one of the best things about this section.

As for the latest info from Hertyid I don't want to get into the net/gross debate, but it's worth remembering that we spent over a £100m on transfers last season. I can't see us spending less than that this season.

Ah, I was thinking about when he was bought, not sold. But this discussion isn't relevant to ITK. Sorry!

Love net and gross spending chat... really draws me into the discussion... (n)
it’s suggested that accountants and administrators are rather dry individuals..
and that’s mirrored by the near panic in here (onions)
Please.. please.. please ...more player ITK and/or cryptics.
Wonder whether akin to stadium ITK, there could be a thread for the bead counters? Just a thought

ITK said £100k investment. That means net spend to me. So Poch gets £100k plus sales (subject to wages etc biting into the budget). If Toby is off and a few others we may have £200m to dabble with.
100k? we might be able to get Adrian marriapa on a short loan for that? would make sense with Jamaican ITK too, you've solved the impossible!

A summer where we re-sign Kane, Alli, and Eriksen is better than a summer where we do nothing. I will be mildly disappointed if all we get done is raise the wage ceiling and buy replacement depth for departures....

Here's the issue: Football is a fickle friend.

While many of us dream that we're at the beginning of a Spurs golden age; with a new stadium, a fantastic squad, and the best manager in decades, the reality is that you have to strike while hot. How long will Kane, Eriksen, and Alli stick around? How long before Lloris and Vertonghen move on? Will Poch stick with the project for 3, 5, or 10 more years?

So I don't buy the "status quo" is good enough. I also don't think that pouring money into the team necessarily reaps massive returns, but we need to be aggressive and take every opportunity to, as Poch says, be brave.

the thing is at the moment, until International friendlies are finished I very much doubt we will sign anyone. no point buying a player that might get injured playing a friendly (non WC players), and doubt we will buy anyone involved in the WC until afterwards, or until their tournament is over.

Please Danniel for us deprived SC fans please spend a net 101m window
