No one posting Ali Z's latest musings? He's suggesting we may go (back) in for Caulker!
Greg Stobart said there is no chance of that happening. It seems the rumours about Caulker's departure being political were true. Something about Joe Lewis's daughter, was it?...

@Breezer knew something IIRC.

I think he mistook her for a waitress and called her an old slapper when the team visited Lewis' floating gin palace—something along those lines, anyway.

Six is more than eight? Are you sure? You're also omitting the rather salient fact that last season Paulinho played almost as many minutes as Sigurdsson has in two, aren't you? Should we leave aside the point that Paulinho's only created 20 scoring chances against Sigurdsson's 36?

And everyone's pretty much agreed that Sigurdsson isn't really up to the required standard, aren't they?

A whole lot more than conversion rate needs to improve next season.

Paulinho scored 8 goals last season though. More than Sig managed in either of his seasons at the club.

From a deeper role.
In central midfield.
Without even playing well.

Absolute bullshit about minutes, Sigurdsson has made EIGHTY FIVE appearances for us. Yes, that is correct, no typo.

Paulinho's job isn't to create chances though? Never has, never will be. So why are you expecting him to do so? We bought him as...with best use of an example, a young frank lampard of sorts. A true box to box midfield with a taste for a goal. His conversion rate has been shit, yes, but I'd be more concerned if he wasn't getting into those positions, than his misses. Exactly the same for Soldado actually, I'd rather someone still have the natural ability to get themselves into goalscoring positions and miss them, than not get into them at all.

Paulinho's frustrating as shit, but he's better than Sigurdsson by a mile.

Difference here is they appear to have a capable manager.
This is true but any manager would find it much harder without a truly world class player. Plus they'll be likely to make a lot of signings which will probably need a season to gel. We learned that last year.

Not in the league, he didn't.

Sigurdsson has had 58 league appearances (26 starts) totalling 2495 minutes, Paulinho 30 (28 starts) totalling 2381 minutes. Don't they teach you how to do sums any more?

Would you? I'd rather someone had the natural ability to get into goalscoring positions and score. And quite clearly,as Sigurdsson's goalscoring record (not to mention his ability to create chances) is superior to Paulinho's, it would appear—by definition—that he does possess the ability to get into goalscoring positions, otherwise he wouldn't have scored at all, would he?

They've added Can, Markovic (reportedly), Lallana and Lambert so far. Can/Markovic are mostly ones for the future wherease Lallana and Lambert are proven PL performers. Lallana comes from a side that preached full team pressing similar to Liverpool and I think him behind Sturridge with Coutinho/Sterling on either side will be quite effective. I don't see as much need for transitioning players for Liverpool as we had last year. We looked to add about 5-6 new starters to our side in our 2013 Summer window whereas I believe Liverpool are looking at 1-3 (and it's looking like 2 of those - Lallana/Lovren might be PL proven) and the others being added to transition into the team slowly but also to help provide quality, youthful depth for their now busy season that includes Champions League.

Tiny update guys but due to the fact we're all starved of ITK I hope it's worth some value. I asked JJ on twitter about Konoplyanka bc there's not been much on him recently. He replied saying he's not on our radar. Hardly ITK but the best I can do (y)

Jesus christ. Pass me a noose.

Even if we didn't sign anybody this summer, we'll still be better off than last year. All of our newer players will have a year of experience in the PL, and Mr Erik Lamela is now ready to be unleashed!

We also have a manager who can build fantastic squad morale and get us playing fluid, effective football.

Regardless, we will strengthen this summer, and going by ITK and reliable journalists; in all the right areas! Just show some bloody patience.

Take the nooses off, and stop acting like a bunch of pansies :D

I clicked informative, but I have to be honest and say I am none the wiser really. It was more an act of appreciation for the whoring effort.

Inwhoremative ?

To be honest, the only thing I gleaned from it is that Remy ain't looking too likely, which isn't a surprise. A case of something being better than nothing, but only just. ;)
