Poch likes to change up the formation, so it would make sense we're after Sess if he has the versatility to play all along the left side.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully this will get done. Really impressed with Ryan the season before last but never seen Steven play.

Steve Sess is interesting. He seems to be in the shadow of his brother but he still has great potential himself. I could see Poch making a quality player out of him too. He's represented England at various youth levels and he's got good versatility. I would love to see how both Sess brothers develop under Poch.

Etete, R Sess and S Sess would be an awesome way to start the transfer window.

We were famously known as a “young team” a few seasons ago, now... not so much.

Signing a few promising home-grown youngsters and a complement of first-teamers is exactly the strategy I was hoping we’d be using

ITK's LEAVING SMILEYS/RATINGS
If an ITK leaves a rating/smiley on a post it is not to be considered as ITK and shouldn't be referenced. JJetset leaving a smiley against a Tweet is the same, it is not ITK and should not be brought into the ITK Thread. All the above does is start a shitload of guessing games over nothing.

Someone, somewhere, will always add a 'meaning' because well, they can't help themselves, as we've just seen. One alternate meaning becomes two becomes three and so on.......If an ITK has something to say then can bloody well say it.

was there ever any doubt that we had interest? been trying to sign him for years.

Yeah, the most obvious transfer in the history of Spurs transfers imo. We were extremely strong on him a year or so ago, he changes agents to the people representing Kane, it all goes very very quiet - like absolutely nobody even attempts to make a bid for him - then hey presto, he states he's not signing a new contract and would prefer to sign for Spurs. Of course it's so bloody obvious that the papers will still try and make out we will be battling X,Y and Z for his signature when in reality it's probably been as good a done for ages (and we have done excellent and very quiet business with Fulham for years now plus there might also be the very real prospect of Parker wanting a favour from Spurs in the loans department).

He won’t be signing to be third choice left back. Hardly an endorsement of his ability during negotiations. But I agree with the rest of what you say.
That’s fair. But I think his season with Fulham, while there are several caveats to this, has shown that he isn’t someone that could walk into the XI of a top four side immediately. And to be honest I don’t think the way Poch uses fullbacks allows for players to simply walk in and play, so no matter his talent level or age I think he’d require a year of development just by the nature of the position.

Through gritted teeth, we all have to admit that Robertson/Alexander-Arnold pairing that’s developed is the ideal model. And that takes time and discipline, and he’ll need that same kind of time too.

Heck yes! ITK!

Also, I'm most curious about what position we see him at should we sign him. Given this is Poch, could very well see him choosing to deploy him in a more attacking role, to limit his overall responsibilities.
I find he always looks awkward as a winger. He is a clever technical player with pace, but not what you'd call explosive. In the Championship he is just too good to play fullback, in the PL though I'm not convinced thats the case. For me he is a fullback, or maybe he will end up a CAM.

On the ITK. Its no great surprise. Sess' team has been leaking this all over the place.

That one was easy. I was in the Bale for LW camp from day 1 when I saw him dribble through 3 Arse (erm) players with quick feet on this NLD debut

As I said a few pages ago, not sure that Sess has those skills on the ball but he has a bit of everything. He is quick and strong and seems to have a natural footballing brain. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in midfield either
Apologies I thought I was in the Sessegnon thread when I wrote the above

Regarding the ITK I think it does sound like his brother is involved. It's completely logical to get him along as he is at least decent by all accounts. Does anybody know his contract length ? Could Fulham play hard ball with him because he has longer to run on his ?

dragon1: Lewis did u turn after stadium opening which got to him , we are not for sale right now
Lewis has never been s problem , levy never wanted a cash injection as would dilute his shareholding
We are entering a new era as the club is now incredibly self sufficient

I'm hoping someone a little smarter than myself can help elaborate on what that actually means...? That we r opening the purse strings? Something else?
