Brilliant ITK. Obviously it wouldn't do to get carried away but it gives everyone a lift after the result on Saturday.

It is indeed brilliant ITK.

Although I'm catching up with the thread and only on page 4, what people don't seem to have pointed out with @Hercules info is, in the past, he's vigorously stated that he has absolutely no faith that Levy will spend, or is willing to spend the necessary fees top bring in truly gifted players.

The info he posted last night is quite the turnaround for him & something that should (hopefully) leave us all far more optimistic for what the future holds.

Any surprises in that list? I don’t claim to be ITK but reading between the lines and assessing players being picked by Poch none of the above would surprise. Toby and Eriksen contract situation forces the issue with both but otherwise?

Whether I agree with thelist or not is not the point. I think you'll find in the rules that guessing who ITK might refer to is mentioned there!

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was sissoko if a massive offer came in. Say if we sold sissoko and got ndombele for £10m difference

This thread was rolling along beautifully until the guessing games started. Let's park that shit now, speculating on who might be sold is a fruitless task. Let's just trust in whatever Poch decides.

Lo Celso and N'Dombele seem to be the two main targets that we're going for early and rightly so. Personally hoping we can add a starting caliber RB, a young LB prospect and a young, highly CDM prospect at the very least in addition to those 2 CM's.

Feeling absolutely buzzed about the potential of this summer.

No way are we getting a massive offer for Sissoko, not after just one albeit great season in three. Definitely won’t be just be £10m difference more like £30-40m.

Eriksen has now confirmed that he wants to leave, which surely increases the possibility of the two signings together being Lo Celso and Ndombele.

Am kind of glad we know now rather than really late on. We can build and try to replace him which is good.

Am not saying him leaving is good am just saying knowing the situation is good.

Where did you see this confirmation?

Actually, Eriksen has stated that he wants a new challenge but admits it is out of his hand and if no one comes in for him, then it is up to Levy to sit down with him and offer a new contract.

Eriksen in his own words -

“I feel that I am a place in my career where I might want to try something new,” Eriksen told Ekstra Bladet.
“I have the wildest and deepest respect for everything that has happened at Tottenham – I will not be negative. But I have also said that I would like to try something new.
“I hope there will be a resolution during the summer. That’s the plan.
“In football, you do not know when a resolution will happen. It can happen anytime. Everyone wants the best to it to happen as soon as possible, but in football takes things time.
“It depends on Daniel Levy. And another club has to come (in with a transfer). Or I’ll have to sit down at the table and negotiate a new contract. You can’t set a date yourself.
“There are not many points that Tottenham cannot meet. If I have to go, then hopefully it will be a step up.”

Best take this to the Eriksen thread...
