Does anyone else find it curious/surprising that we are after a left footed RW?

Especially given how frustrating it is watching Deki be unable to cross and just endlessly cut inside?

I thought Ange loved a cut back above all else.

Doesn’t surprise me personally. What we want is an inverted winger who can cut inside to shoot or combine play but also has the willingness, explosiveness and skill to also go on the outside to the byline to cut it back even if it’s on their weaker foot.

Neto can do this for example, so can Bakayoko.

FFS lads will you stop posting this sort of stuff in here. This is not the place to discuss whether Ange likes cut backs etc

neto:
55/60 million will be the deal. If the structures right it will be very doable.
We are very aware of the price required, and it's within our range.
Don't think so.

Whilst what I am hearing generally speaking isn't as free flowing as it has been in past, it's been very clear and consistent regarding Neto. He has been the number one target throughout, and Ange has been super keen on bringing him in for quite some time. I know we have contingency plans and other routes we could take but I actually believe it would be a bit of a blow not to get him now, especially knowing the player is very keen to join.

I mean those two aren’t our only options with an opportunity to upgrade at striker :sneaky:

but seriously I struggle to see Edwards with our depth at forward. KWP makes a lot of sense

No way we sign Edward’s if we think we can get Neto .

We got Werner , Son, Kulu , Johnson Soloman and as it stands Gil

Yeah, can see Skipp going with limited playing opportunities if he stays. Think he does a good job for a few teams in the league.

Was never really won over by KWP however in the situation we find ourselves in, could understand if we were to move for him bearing in mind Royal ann Spence are likely moved on this summer.

Skipp needs to go for the sake of his own career with our blessing not be held back as a minor role merely for quota purposes - we’ve got the young HG talent already at our disposal.

Just remember - being good at the academy level <> they are ready for the more physical demands of PL, or even Europa.

that’s true but it would free up salary that we wouldn’t be wasting on a player we don’t particularly want.
