eze would be a fluid midfielder used all
Over which would provide competition in certain areas replaces Lo celso persic Solomon and Gil essentially . Neto would be the dream winger ange has been asking for !
Yeah it would make sense massively. 1 English player replacing 4 foreign and able to cover multiple positions like you say. Wages wise we’d likely still be massively up as some fairly big earners in than group.
I fully fit Neto elevates us massively (if he ever stays fit) he adds something we really lack and creates a lot of fear for opposition defenders.

Would rather Eze and a centre forward in that case. Not that I would complain about Neto but for the money we would have spent a hell of a lot on Neto and Johnson for the right side. If we're spending big I want an established top player with the injuries.

No point in getting 2 wide players who can beat a man and stick in a good cross, if we don't have a good striker to finish them 😂.

Like Nico Williams, Neto is a natural on ether wing. Neto has actually played more on the left (44) than the right (36). I think that versatility would be a significant point of attraction for us. I agree about the injury concerns tho.

I wouldn't write off Son there tbh. Maybe the lack of quality out wide was part of the reason it didn't work for him up top.

Son scored 17 goals last season and the majority came from playing as a CF. I get that his game is limited there but a lot of people on here are acting like he is useless upfront. If we had two quality wide players either side of him I would wager he would do even better there.

There’s more to center forward play than goals and Son just isn’t suited to that role. I shared same opinion for most of the season but we were so much better with a real 9 there when Richarlison played.

Sorry Son was terrible upfront, not useless but just not a front man

He can play the role though, that’s the point. If he has players around him who keep the ball in attacking areas and create chances for him then he will be fine. It’s when he’s asked to compete for headers and hold up the ball against two 6’4 centre backs that he struggles. He won’t need to do that as often if the right players are added around him.

For the way we play now he isn’t the right man at the front. The pressing and possession type football doesn’t allow him to get in behind and use his pace (which is his biggest weapon).

Before when he was front man (in place of Kane) it was different because we were hitting more on the break. Son isn’t the man for holding the ball up bringing others into play, fox in the box and getting on end of crosses. See how many cut backs from Werner, Johnson and Porro and isn’t there, that’s not his natural instinct.Richarlison’s golden spell came because he was doing just that.

Eze over Neto every day of the week. English proven player that can Play all over the front. If he has a release clause, just please be a big Club for a change and go for it.

My last post on this as this is the ITK thread but ive just re-watched all of Son's goals from last season and 9 of them (so over 50%) were from getting on the end of crosses, cut backs or being a fox in the box. If we potentially add Eze and Neto as per the latest ITK then I can see him thriving on their creativity. He isnt the ideal CF but people arent being fair to him either.

But that’s because that’s how we play. So he had to score that way. There were loads of cut backs when no one was there because it’s not his natural instinct to be there. Not saying he can’t - he is an absolute class player but it is not his strongest point.

surely a better way to look at it is all the opportunities created and why they weren’t converted. So those balls that flash across the box - which at times felt like several times a game :(

OK so based on the bits of ITK that have dropped we like Eze for AM and flexible roles, Gallagher for CM or alternative player, Vanderson for RB and if we go for Neto we probably won’t get a striker. Makes sense really, can’t complain at the targets.

And Kubo as a potential alternative to Neto one assumes.
