In fact there's loads of these threads, all dedicated to players we've been linked with by media and other sources or have been linked with moves away. That is why they exist. So when a story appears, it gets posted within those walls and lo! Discussion of it occurs, there, in that thread, where it should be.

Their fans (some of them) are almost suicidal over on the saintsweb forum, fears of a real fire sale. Which makes sense with Cortese leaving and all the stuff surrounding that. They think the owner is asset stripping ready to sell the club on quickly.

Lambert's on his way out, Poch has gone. Shaw looks likely to leave, as does Lallana. If Rodriguez wasn't injured, he may be off too at this point. Feel for them. Likely relegation candidates.

As for the 4 players we're interested in, my guess is Shaw, Lallana, Lovren and one more that I don't have clue. Perhaps Rodriguez.

I hope one of those 4 is Ward-Prowse. I think he will easily fill into Lallana's role there, and is going to be the better player. He's an incredible talent.

My guess the four players are Lovren, Rodriguez, Ward-Prowse and Schneiderlin.

This is a paragraph from the official site when we appointed Pochettino. It struck me as slightly odd that they named players, moreso the 'lesser known' ones.

'During his 18 months at St Mary's, Mauricio also oversaw the progress of home-grown stars such as Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, James Ward-Prowse and Calum Chambers'.

Wouldn't surprise me if the latter 2 were part of the 4 if the ITK is correct.

I hope one of those 4 is Ward-Prowse. I think he will easily fill into Lallana's role there, and is going to be the better player. He's an incredible talent.

This is probably going to be seen as a bizarre opinion, but if he's decently cheap and willing to come (most likely would be all things considered) I wouldn't mind seeing him see time at winger and maybe (here's the weird part) developing as a DLP for the future. This is without almost complete regard for our current lot, but idealistically I'd certainly like having this player in the squad.

It does appear we continue to be linked with their two RB's, which I don't understand were it to be true considering we have Walker and I think not only promoting Fredericks while selling Naugton would be for the best but would also save us money for other positions.
