His nickname is 'Pitbull'. He could be an interesting option. Sounds like he has very good football IQ so is very alert as a defensive midfield. He's also very useful going forwards
He's been linked to Brighton and German clubs.

Well let's get him before Brighton and then sell him for £150m to Chelsea next year.

Seeing links to players from the dutch and Spanish leagues and obviously there are great player that come from those leagues but I can't help feeling burnt by Jannsen, gill, glc, soldado, etc...
Just not suited to the league
Would much rather us focus on the championship for younger players.
I'd happily take another Eriksen, Alderweireld, Vertonghen or van der Vaart. I only care how good a player is and whether they will fit our system / style of play, not what league they play in right now.

Some of the linked players seem to be the type of player we need, while others are potentially square pegs for round holes. Our best hope of becoming truly competitive again is by being savy in the transfer market, so I really don't mind ITK about young players from inferior leagues (as the Championship also is!).

The Championship may be more similar to the physicality of the PL than most other leagues, but it's also technically and tactically lacking compared to a lot of those other leagues (and the PL).

Not really with you on that one.

I think Van de Ven has shown that if you do the hard work to get the players, the risk is very unlikely.

Interesting you mention him, heard nothing personally but heard we were looking at another Japanese lad, Matsuki I believe his name was. Just looked him up and it appears they have the same representation.
Would be an interesting signing. Would have his work cut out to be anything like an immediate starter for us but he's definitely a player that catches the eye in games. Good decision maker.

Hello mate happy with Werner on the short term ? A lot of fans seem to be up in arms about it . Hopefully this then getting there window frustrations out now before we start piecing next seasons squad

I like it. Stop gap as Son backup for a season before hopefully seeing Mikey Moore pushing in to compete for that LW spot.

More hoping that he’s the hor d'oeuvre to our summer attacking recruitment drive as opposed to the main course

No issues with Werner on loan again. Win win as I see it. Gives him a full season, I thought he settled in well so far.

Good luck to him, good deal again.
