I think the key point is that I'm not working on Tuesday and therefore have the opportunity to find out Spurs-related news slightly earlier than I would normally. Obviously Levy has factored this in.
Ah. But which Tuesday?

Like who???? How many years has he been playing for Portugal? If he had played under Mourinho, Capello, Pep, Ancelloti etc etc some real big names in the coaching world and then said AVB is a top coach, i would take his opinion more into consideration! But having only played in Portugal of course he thinks AVB is a top coach.

At Sporting, José Peseiro, Paulo Bento, Carlos Carvalhal and Paulo Sérgio. At Porto, AVB and Vítor Pereira. For Portugal, Agostinho Oliveira, Luiz Felipe Scolari, Carlos Queiroz and Paulo Bento.

So plenty of coaches, how many of them would be widely considered to be top coaches I'm not sure.

I'm really happy that I started a new job on Friday and they don't block SC so I can stay in tuned with the news as it happens. Unfortunately they do block the the social website that shall not be named, so I won't know if something is happening unless I look.

And yes, SC was the very first site I checked to see if it was blocked :D

SC isn't blocked where I work. In fact I mentioned on Friday about how the site has actually been added as a work-related site in my profile folder (I don't think my manager really knows what SC is).

However work does produce occasional distractions, such as work, which get in the way of Spurs-related news. On Tuesday I'll be free to stare at the computer screen unblinkingly for hours on end whilst repeatedly hitting the F5 button like some kind of fucking psychopath.

Big things better come out of this week, because I am getting my LSAT score back sometime this week and if everything on both fronts goes to shit my summer will descend into tears, alcohol, and jacking off.

Isn't that what Funtime Friday is for?

Hi, Long time lurker etc...
Could it be possible that Brazil's news could be related to this?

Who: The Journalist
When: 20th May
Where: SC

the word this morning is that every journalist is contacting tottenham this morning; not to find out how last night effects buys and sales but to find out IF they are going to take legal action and try to find a way into the champions league. look out for it to hit the papers. cant see it myself because of the hate uefa has for english clubs but apparently there is a rule break to do with european court that tottenham could exploit. dont know if tottenham will run with it; thats what people are trying to find.

We did challenge our omiission discretely.... And won?

I said Levy would persue this all along

Yea well actually it's what my summer has been all along (with the tears only saved for funtime friday) - and now it is time to go out and repeat two of the three. By the time I am conscious tomorrow I want AVB, Gylfi, Vertonghen and a spiffing new conference car all lined up.

JJ did say that if we get our top target manager everyone will be happy. That, for me, points to guardiola

by everyone, didnt he mean every spurs supporter?
People have found reasons to complain about Pep or Mourinho. No way to please everybody with this appointment. It's what I like most about Levy honestly, he doesn't care as much about being liked as much as he seems to care about making the right choice. And to be honest, AVB is a high risk, high reward sort of appointment.

If he repeats his Chelsea mistakes and we finish around 10th, the media will make us look ridiculous. But if the AVB we get is more of the Porto variety and less of the Chelsea, then this is a slam dunk hire. Regardless of how AVB works out, as a club we are walking a tightrope financially, we're at basically the maximum extent of our resources. Unless the rumoured new investment actually shows up, it will be exceedingly difficulty to improve on the 3/4/5th area we've found ourselves in the last few years (excluding Ramos).

JJ works for the club, he's hardly going to say people are going to hate the new manager.

JJ said plenty of negative things about Harry when he was in charge. He's been on here for a long time and strikes me as a fan that is also well placed within the Spurs set-up to share info. I really don't think he has any sort of agenda.
