Is it one wide forward done, and another on the way?

Or one done (wide forward) and another (player who plays another position) on the way?

I read it as the latter. One wide forward and another player (not position specific).

This was my initial reaction after dreaming about Di Maria but maybe Gray isn't that bad an option: he is pacey, young, can play up top and won't be expecting to start

All hinges on whether poch is on board with it or whether he is being forced to accept it because its better than nothing

This is the important factor.

If Poch rates Gray and wants him, then I'm all for that.

If Gray is a desperate last grab because we've not delivered the players Poch wanted then that's a different story.

Think there's a lot of people on here assuming one of the above without having anything to back it up whatsoever.

I read it as Option A. Which is why I'm not freaking out over Gray in the hope he's the 'likely' rather than the 'done'!

Give the guy a break. Gray is what 20? (without looking it up). A relative youngster that people don't seem to want to even look at. Liking him to Sisokko? Seriously wtf? Let's have an instant scapegoat eh...

Would you say...you didn't have to google him?

Jokes aside, I think that this has a lot of potential, but that potential word gets a lot of people into big trouble. He is young, and people are looking at his 30 EPL appearances against a goal and 3 assists, but what they should really look at are his true minutes at 1,039, or roughly eleven and a half games. I'd take a young fast player who puts up a goal and three assists at the age of 20 in the span of eleven and a half games.

Thank you to all the ITKs for making this so fun for me, I really have enjoyed every update. Here's hoping everything gets done the way the club sees fit in these closing hours.

Wouldn't mind Gray as a prospect in addition to someone who can make an immediate impact. Very underwhelming though, and frankly incredibly un ambitious.

Gray is interesting - but I thought he wanted to leave Leicester because he was not starting. Not sure how that help his move to Spurs - other than he moves up the foodchain a bit - albeit still on the bench.

Would not mind Gray on the cheap but for £25 Million he is not better than what we have, and there must better out there for that

Funnily enough I knew about him at Brum and then at Leicester. Even commented about him in his thread in June after he scored. Not a fan of his by the way, just casual knowledge. I probably knew a lot more about him than most of the names we've been linked with, who I have had to google! :D

Edit - actually google his 2 England goals this summer. We had a host of scouts at the tournament also.

Surely Aurier will be the next one announced. They have to announce Foyth as our forth signing.

As for Gray, another young prospect for Poch to work with. I have no issue with that. I would rather get Sessegnon and Sancho though.

Other than good old fashioned reason.

Or do we think that Poch went to Levy at the start of the summer and said

"Do you know who I think could really transform our frontline? That weedy no-mark benchwarmer from Leicester who scored one goal last season."

Unambitious is the right word here. I know Gray has potential but we need players who can, if necessary, step in against Real Madrid and Dortmund in the CL! Liverpool finish below us every year and are looking to sign Lemar, whereas we are going for a sub from Leicester?!

Wouldn't mind Gray as a prospect in addition to someone who can make an immediate impact. Very underwhelming though, and frankly incredibly un ambitious.
