Thanks for sharing.

How is it possible to be shocked at how this window seems to be turning sour yet not at all surprised at the same time. Just praying for a positive outcome, 9 days to go.

I think it fair to say based on that Press Conference that gards info yesterday has been shown to be spot on.

The latest ITK is very worrying. It seems this window will be very much the same as previous windows. I pray we get GLC and Sessegnon over the line and would hope for another.

No offers for Nkoudou isn't surprising as we have been trying to get rid for a few windows now. I'm still confident we will sign Sess and GLC but Poch clearly isn't a happy man and although Levy has to be clever with finances, it's imperative that he keeps Poch happy.

The ITK's are not as positive as they were at the start of the window and that's worrying.

Aren’t they? I’ve seen fuck all from any of the main players in days other than a positive update from Herc at the weekend.

Re this itk, that’s fine, far better off pushing for two priorities than giving up and signing lesser players. Re the rb thing, nkoudou and new contracts, doubt we’ll get what we want with those but as long as point 2 works out we’ve done well.

Not sure what else there is to take from information that says “it’s down to the other teams”. You clearly don’t believe that, and that’s fine. But I bet if any info filtered through that it was our fault you’d go all in on it.

What does that say? I suppose it says you have a view on something and will embrace information that backs that up and dismiss anything that doesn’t.

Each to their own. (y)

That’s a bit unfair mate, some of us here have been fully paid up members of the BSoDL for years, but recent events have worn us down and made us a bit more sceptical.

Funnily enough, the leaks that the club release aren’t often deliberately self-harming, so a degree of salt and scepticism is well worth having on the positive line that often gets trotted out.

But no, we’re not DL’s equivalent of Trump’s Evangelist Apologists that refuse to see anything but sunlight shining out of his arse. Rightly so IMO.

Yeh Poch is pissed. What’s new there?

I am not defending DL, but we are embarking on another close to 100m spend. Not small money FFS. I still expect two signings, that includes GLC. Sess, problem is the fanny tosh lot at Fulham, valuing him at 40m. And expect us to thrown in Josh, and pay a substantial amount.

A manager is not always going to get all his way. Fergie & Maureen will vouch for that.

Now if the TW closes, and we don’t achieve our targets. You know who to blame. And I do not expect anyone to defend Daniel Levy.

For what it’s worth, I am calm.

A wise philosopher once said "Do...or do not, there is no try".

Seems like we try a lot. I understand that transfers aren't easy. But that Ali Z response to GLC and Sess does not sound good at all. Seems like these were locked on and now if we are still "trying" with nine or so days left, that can't be great news.

Absolutely have to get GLC over the line before the window closes for me. With Rose not leaving I don't think we'd be desperate for Sess, and could potentially even wait until January and they're properly sweating. If we don't get GLC in then I'd start to worry about Poch tho, might have had enough of the promises.

Ali z in response to some point being made

Levy’s to do list :
- offer Eriksen and Toby new deals (might as well try!)
- get Sess and GLC deals over the line
- try for Dybala
- sell Nkoudou
- sign a first team right back

1) toby and eriksen have to want a deal, eriksen more likely.

2) trying

3) no idea

4) no takers

5) highly unlikely
That's a lot to happen in a week. Even if I've been positive previously, I can't see all that happening.

Fulham can fuck off with that, I don't blame Levy if that's true, I'd rather we keep Rose and try and sign Sessegnon for free next summer, it's not like he's going elsewhere for that price is he. Still think we're as we were, people are going to react depending on their personality but the facts haven't changed, I'm backing Levy to get something over the line, I imagine he fully understands the likely events which would follow if he doesn't to be honest.

If this window does limp along the same way as previous ones, it does make you wonder what we are doing wrong, and if it will ever change. Is our approach now outdated?
Stadium in place (yes I know it needs paying for, it surely we wouldn’t overstretch ourselves, knowing success on the playing side is a prerequisite for recouping finances to pay it off).
CL finalists, so must be attractive to players wanting to play at a certain level.
Increased financial strength looking at the AIA deal, and record profits last year. We are not short of cash.
The positivity of ITK this year was refreshing to see, looking like a club with a clear plan. But the relative silence over recent days is ominous. Could be because things are just being worked on, not much to tell. Or, could be the opposites.

I’m putting my happy clapper hat on.
I think Lo Celso will join, as will Sessegnon, potentially by the end of the week, plus Eriksen and Rose will stay.
Maybe even a player or two added from the U21 project list. It was mentioned previously we would be looking to bolster our development squad. Pulling that off should be enough to appease Poch hopefully.

They've seen the Wan Bissaka transfer and thought they'll have some of that.

We seriously need players to start causing problems at their respected clubs.

Thanks, Herc! If you're calm, I'm calm.

Don't think anyone would blame DL for not spunking silly money on Sess.

Their contract situation and performances are entirely different though, they're being unrealistic and it's them that'll lose out when he fucks off for free. I remember saying this exact same thing about Berahino and that went even more worse for both him and West Brom than I could have fathomed.
