Hate to pour cold water on this but the Bilbao president said on an ESPN interview a few days ago that Llorente would not be leaving the club as long as he was in charge,

Would love Llorente. Who knows. If Real Madrid opt to sign Adebayor in the summer then they wont go for Llorente because they're of similar style. It would be a risk for Llorente to hold out for Madrid when a team is willing to make him their star striker. I think a move to Spurs makes more sense for Llorente than Madrid. At Madrid he will just be a squad player, but at Spurs he'll be the first choice striker. He's a real talent and definitely the ideal striker for us. He isn't world class, but is potnetially world class if he gets his chance at a big club. Which makes him getable imo.

Absolutely agree with all of this.

Would Llorente come to us now when there is still a chance of RM in the summer?

If RM really want him then they will come in for him now. I'm sure his agent will let them know what's going on.

never seen him play but his stats are pretty average
Why not ger Barnie back, he looked pretty useful tonight

:-|

Lennons stats thus season are probably pretty average in comparison to Bale. Let's sell him.

You can't judge a plate on stats mate. Llorente is quality and is probably one of the most suitable players for our system now.

ok llorente looks pretty good to me just the sort of player we need. But why oh why are we not in for Torres??? surely this must have crossed levys mind. if hes interested in going to chelsea, why not us ? we have a youngr more up and coming squad. I am not ITK but I can see levy moving for torres this window. whether he would sign is a different matter.

Do I really need to scour the web to find quotes of football bosses saying player x would not be sold only for player x to be packing his bags within a week?
