From next window on, I'm going to resign myself to no activity. I won't visit this thread. I won't read any transfer rumours or any ITK. And then, with 28hours to go before the deadline.... BAM! I'll read all 128 pages of the on the day transfer thread, read all ITK that was posted up until that day, and strap myself in for the 24 hours of the "Tottenham transfer window"

Btw, does anyone know if we have had any ITK relating to Cardozo this window? He's the 'type' of striker we need, and we've been linked in the past. If we're gonna offer 30m for rossi, we might as well offer something similar for a player of the type we actually NEED.

We haven't been linked to him no. I often sign him on FM, he seems to love shooting from distance, he's a big fucker, and quite clinical in front of goal.

If I had a choice of any player, I'd take Aguero, although I believe him to be well off radar in terms of being gettable. Realistically, we should sign Negredo. He's quality, and Sevilla have an abundance of strikers, he doesn't even always start for them. Failing that, I'd go all out for Llorente.

Carroll isn't a bad shout, as he would scare defences, but anything over £20m is taking the piss IMO.

Sorry guys but i have a feeling the club have a press release for the fans already written out saying that we tried for these strikers and their clubs did not want to sell or there was a problem over this and that and we were willing to smash our transfer record but just could not get who we were looking for.

I cant understand how any of these bids could not have gone in on the 1st of jan considering our need for a striker was as urgent at the start of the as it is now.

Woke up this morning, had to check the various websites to make sure last night wasn't some insane dream. Aguero? Llorente? Rossi? Sssh don't mention Negredo.

Storts seemed pretty confident we'd be getting a DM as well.

Totally agree. Why on earth we persist in waiting for the end of the window is beyond me. We've wasted time and dropped valuable points.

From this stage on, I fear our options are inevitable. We either buy that top striker today, or play 4-4-2 for the rest of the season and find another way to accomodate VdV.
