My concern is if we get a CF and CB then we won't have anything to complain about when the window closes. Every time we lose a game we'll have to think of what went wrong rather than what we should have done in the transfer window. Take fuck sake Alli away as well and we're truly fucked. I expect us to be one player short come the end of the window so we have our excuse for the rest of the season.

We can complain about selling Dele. So no worries!

After reading the last three or four pages I think we should forget about Skriniar and concentrate on bringing in Susie Dent. She's home grown too which is a bonus.

Harry Winks is twitching his curtains waiting to take the place of Dele

If selling Dele means we have funds for Skriniar I’m for it. No doubt in my mind who would contribute more towards the team this season

I'd absolutely hate it, if Dele went to another PL team. I would begrudgingly accept him going overseas, though.

Already had chat with A&C on it... I'd posted long ago about it in the Deeney thread. Was just making comment in here in reference to someone saying they were glad the Deeney rumour was dead.
All good mate. Dont think I ventured into the Deeney thread. Take care.

I don't see how we could possibly regret selling a player who is contributing nothing.

We heard the same whimsical nonsense about the possibility of Eriksen leaving too.

And before some smart arse says it - yes, we could do with what Eriksen and Alli offered three years ago. But this isn't three years ago, it is now. Stop living in the past, blinded by naive sentimentality.

Maybe it's possible that a young player losing form doesn't mean he's inevitably lost it forever?

So what?

He's lost it for the last two years, while being one of the highest earners at the club.

He isn't a hot prospect any more, he'll be 25 this season, he is a senior player, and he has failed to consistently fulfil the duties of a senior player for an unacceptably long time.

If he recaptures his previous form elsewhere in future - great, good for him, I hope he does. But he is showing no sign of doing it here.

How long would you give him? Until he's 26? 28? 35? If two years aren't enough, how many are?

I swear if you lot were in charge of the club, we'd pay Eriksen £150k a week to sit on the bench when he's in his 50s because he was good once.

All I know is, he was the earliest ITK on Poch leaving and was very confident and I frankly didn’t want to hear it and dismissed it but he was bang on.
I remember this, he was the first, ITK to post hints that Poch had lost the players.

Would we? I have no idea. If Skriniar turned out to be top class, I don't think we'd regret it for an instant
«If» is why I am worried.
If Dele scores 15 goals this season (something he can do) helping us achieving CL, we‘ll look back wondering why we always want to pull the trigger when it comes to transfer out our own.

Btw, I’m really excited with our transfer dealings so far. Adding A CH and Striker would be an amazing end to the window.

thanks for all info giving here!
