That's a shame. I thought he was an OK guy really. Still do.

I'm joking, I don't think he actually said anything about you :p He just exaggerated his leaving of here to score points on TFC. I don't recall him not wanting stuff in the RO but if he doesn't, he can get in touch and we'd be happy to accomodate him.

Edit: removed it from the RO as I think we upset him!

Skriniar would be immense.

And Back Up Striker has Deadline Day written all over it.

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if our back up striker arrives after the window closes next Monday as we can still sign from the EFL until the 16th

FWIW I'm hearing the same as VY regarding Skrinier.

I'd also be surprised if a striker isn't done this window, although I'd be just as surprised if that wasn't all we get in.

I might be in the minority here, but I'm not exactly comfortable with this mindset of it's ok with leaving the striker deal so late just so we want to get the best deal out of it.

I would have imagined that if ever there was a time that we needed that 2nd striker to come in so badly and urgently, it is now where we are playing games every 48 hours or so. Already, Son is out and Mourinho has already pre-empted of the possibility of one or two more as this week progresses.

If Kane gets a long term one this week, are we comfortable enough to then honestly look back at this week and go "Oh glad we managed to get the best deal for the 2nd striker on deadline day".

I appreciate the financial difficulties that comes with doing deals, especially at this current climate, but I was just wondering could the club have pushed out the boat a little bit more for that striker to come in now, rather than running the risk of our main strikers to get injured even greater, just so we can save a quid or two.

Such a potential season-shaping moment for us this week, success and personnel wise.
I would imagine we are confident of getting one in even if any particular options falls through so concentrated on ones that needed working on, CB for example.

Why are people still regurgitating the fact we need a striker? Its obvious we need one and the club is working on it so give it a rest

You've got to think at this stage there's going to have to be some serious movement very soon on outgoings based on Trix's info there.

For those who aren't aware, though, there are two deadline days this window (unless things have changed in the last week) - the headline "transfer deadline day" this window is October 6th, however, there is a domestic-only window up until October 16th for permanent and loan signings between English clubs, including both Premier League and EFL.

EDIT: 1st one is October 5th, not 6th

It's not so that I think it's left late as we want the best deal but forwards are most clubs most valuable assets so I think the selling clubs will leave it late in the hope someone gets desperate.

Thanks Trix. The CB and FW is all we need in. If we get those in, then that is 7 new players signed and that is plenty. With 5 of those (possibly 6 depending on who the forward is) being legitimate first team players.

It would obviously be lovely to get another player in who is of high quality. But think that is being greedy and in my opinion wouldn’t effect this window being an A+ window (should we get in these last 2 players). Plus.... we’ve got our BALE BACK!

So potential for more than Skriniar and ST? ?
Trix's post says that he'd be surprised if we were to get anything more than Skriniar and a striker.

EDIT: now confirmed by Trix himself https://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/in...hread-28th-september-2020.143313/post-6995129

Thought it was the 5th and 15th? I hope as I’ve booked the 5th off work to just sit and watch the media chaos that comes with the deadline day.
