Ali z ilso said this to me and others (in respect of this summer’s window being the same as recent history transfer wise)

Whilst I don't disagree with you guys, I was told Poch had certain promises made to him including funds available and early business, Levy knows Poch will leave next summer if he is not happy with the summers work, he will tow party line whatever happens but then be off, he wants to compete at the top table which means risks being taken and whilst I am not expecting 100 m net spend I do expect a decent net spend and deals to be concluded for our current players and some early business, like you guys am cynical.

Doesn't fill me with confidence! We all know what his baldness is like!:shifty:

nothing big
ali z
on pulisic: never heard his name mentioned but could be added in or be one of Daniels opportune buys/attempts.
on the 50m player: Heard we had a £50 m deal being negotiated for one not been able to get name, checked back this evening and it's not Fabinhio.
on paying players 200k/w and bales destination: You will see our best players on about that by August ..... not saying we are getting Bale just saying no chance chelsea.

I reckon the deal being negotiated is Malcom. It's all very quiet on that one and we were in for him over the winter window and seemingly agreed to come back in the summer at the time. That would make the most sense and fit the money being talked about...

Malcom was the one tipped to have already agreed to something with us by Herc ITK back in January...so we shall see if that verbal arrangement stuck!

In regards to AliZ’s ITK about 50 mill deal being negotiated, the only names we have ITK on at that probable cost is Martial, DeLigt, and Pulisic, correct? And he said he hasn’t heard anything about Pulisic.

We have definitely been trying for Pulisic.

5 months is a long time in the transfer market and a lot of things can change. Players we wanted come available or get eyed up by other teams. We've had itk change in a matter of minutes and while I am sure all our itks stand by what they say in the context of when they say it I don't think it's fair to them to expect everything they say to be etched in stone for eternity.

Why are people getting worries about us not signing Someone already? Players are generally on holiday the first 2 weeks after a season ends. By start of June as @Grey Fox had said would be about right. Players Will be relaxing before they do anything. Like a bunch of bed wetters in here this morning

I guess people are nervous. Liverpool already have Fabinho and Kieta in the bag. Two brilliant signings. We have a CM in Mousa who is the wrong side of 30 and on the last 12 months of his contract and Vic who played like the ghost of himself last season. Plus Toby is leaving. We don't appear to be too brave in our targets at the moment.

The focus by the club on front line players seems odd. We need another CB, a CM and cover for Eriksen and Kane. Why we need Pulisic right now is beyond me. The obsession with Sessegnon seems ridiculous. Khan has more money then Lewis FFS, he doesn't need to sell anyone at his club especially the golden boy. This has to have been the longest running joke of last season and this season.

And Martial? Well where will he play? We already have a Martial like player in Son who has had arguably two superior seasons. We need a fricken CF as cover for Kane. Not some poncy wing forward who can't do the job at Manure when he has played up front. Eriksen is our only playmaker. If he breaks a leg we are f-u-c-k-e-d.

My view:

Pulisic - too bloody young and he had an awful season just past after his break out season. Running fast past people only works for a while. OK he is commercial gold. I don't think he will be shooting the lights out from the get go. Potential for the future definitely as a playmaker but no game changer for us right now. Think of Eriksen in his first season.

Martial - OK the lad has potential as a wing forward or inside forward but we have Lucas and Son and both are equally good players. He is no CF. If you want to know how good he is in that role just google Mourinho's comments on his performances up top. I'll save you the trouble - he stinks,

de Ligt - Buying for the future because he won't be ready. He'll get found out in the Prem initially. The boy has class but the lack of pace is worrying while Sanchez has jet boots. In the PL you struggle without pace until you acclimatise to the speed of the game. That could take a season or more. Personally I'd prefer some older **** who has earned the yards and scars in the PL.

Sessegnon - you are having a laugh right? Why the Frick would they sell him unless you offered obscene money. Khan has $2-3B more then Lewis. Besides he is another fricken wing forward and we have enough of them.

CM - No clue here but someone like Fabinho would have been fab. The boy has pace and tackles with sting. It better be someone good if we are going to improve. The fact we got 3rd with two talented crocks playing in CM is a miracle.

I hope Levy is backing Poch with some real talent as ITK has alluded to, because this lot are underwhelming if we are serious about catching Man City. I will take de Ligt as one for the future with Pulisic as possible bench warmers but the others - I don't think they improve us with what we already have.

I would comment but it would derail the thread

So what's your suggestion son of Paul Mitchell!

So to summarise, you're pretty optimistic about the window?

I am optimistic because Herc has talked about targets not named in the press. So I expect some out of left field signings like Sanchez. I think the Sanchez, Foyth, Lucas signings were all superb! However, I don't see why posters on here have this massive love for Martial. I'd prefer a proven goalscorer to back up Kane. Someone like Llorente would be great - if he was a few years younger. Sessegnon, well meh for a lot of reasons.

Very, very accurate

This for me is the bottom line. Levy might not like being forced out of his comfort zone, but if Pochettino ain't a happy chappy come the start of the season the consequences could become dire.

He had the best goals per minute played ratio at Man U last season as far as I'm aware. Fail to see how he isn't a proven goalscorer.

I thought Pulisic could be the one JJ was referring to in the Jan transfer window, when he said it was looking good until other clubs came in late?

That would not have been hard to do with a condom squashed full of walnuts and a gangly man child to compete against and he scored most of those playing on the left - not central. FFS sake man, he is not a CF. They are a special breed. We play with one striker. Poch is very lucky he has HK. It suits his game strategy down to a T. But when HK isn't there, we flounder. Have you got amnesia? Forgotten the dips in our season just past when HK was injured. When Son plays in that role he is almost like a false 9. A shrinking fucking violet.

Actually Llorente was a brilliant buy - if it happened 5 years ago. Instead we bought a fricken pensioner.
