Kind of surprised we would be going for another young player that wouldn't be able to help us this season since we already bought one in Clarke and set aside £9Mil of this Summer's budget. Not sure if spending more is smart with our budget as it could maybe cost us a player now due to shortage of funds.

Who says the young player won't be able to help this season? Ndombele is only 22 himself.

Hercs has said that the player in question has "massive potential"

To be honest, we signed the likes of Sanchez who fit that description, but also went straight into the main squad

Sanchez was 21. We don’t know if this youngster has played much first team football. What is good with today’s news is that we are looking long-term with Poch obviously agreeing these young signings. Just hope another 1 or 2 players that can make an immediate impact and improvement to the first 11 are signed.

If you’d been here a while you’d know that folk see the rules as more of a suggestion than a code of conduct and will now keep guessing the names of teenagers until either A&C bans them or Yewtree turn up and seize their hard drives

There appears to be something of a gap in our academy's production line meaning we will have relatively few youngsters coming through to beef up the squad in the coming years. In that light, stocking up on some young talent now might be a very wise thing to do.

If it is a academy player, than yeah I wouldn't see any issues there since he wouldn't cost more than a £1Mil or £2Mil, but getting a couple of player for fee over £7Mil or £8Mil similarly to what we paid for Clarke can add up and impact our budget.

Well they said he is considerably younger than 21. There is almost no attainable players that fit that category and that can get into our team.

I've always thought there should just be a general transfer bs thread where pretty much anything goes.
