I’ve always Liked Chris Wood. Unfashionable and a bit of a journeyman but his stats are decent. I don’t care if others laugh, the guy is class

Only concern is Is he classed as HG?
Inks
Wood
King

All are HG quota

Yes. He is another one of those "surprise" homegrown picks.

I kinda like Wood.. I like that we are signing/attempting to sign players that play well against us.

Woodn’t it be nice?

Wood be very nice indeed.
Strong and robust, coming in to his prime at 29 - also the last chance Burnley can realistically get some cash for him, probably will demand a lot. Don’t know enough about his contract and injury record though.

It clearly is. Sess out means we need another LB.

Anyway, shame we seem to have left it either too late or not been as decisive as United. They seem nailed on for VDB now.
Yeah don’t see how it could be anyone else. Granted I’d prefer reguilon, but that’s simply because he’s 4 years younger. Very very similar players. Both attack minded, tagliafico is more aggressive defensively, reguilon taller and probs SLIGHTLY quicker. Regarding VDB, I agree, would’ve loved him. Where does he fit in at United tho? It’s not just Pogba and Bruno, but matic’s revival and fred’s improvement. He’ll obvs play, but I’d of thought he’d play much more with us.

If we had a choice it would be Ings all day long, but he'll be way too expensive, north of 50 million...hence the if we sell Ndombele caveat.

The other two much more realistic.
Why the bloody hell would we be buying Ings even if we had 50m.?

Because he's quality. I'm not saying we should pay that amount though...but its what they'd be looking.

And there's also the possibility we'll have to plan for life without Kane if we don't get our shit together this season.

Well, this is awkward...

Not really - it wasn't ITK at the time.

Furthermore, it still doesn't seem realistic to expect - they signed him for £15m 3 years ago, and he signed a new contract last year (until 2023) so there's nothing to suggest he's going to be in budget - I would expect him to be a £30m+ player currently, unless Burnley are deep in it (but why would they? They don't seem to spend anything.

I like him and he has good PL stats, but if our remit is a budget backup then I can't see why he is viable.

I really like Ings, think he's a fantastic player but buying him for £50m would be terrible business IMO.

Danny Ings would be a great signing. Could play alongside Kane and instead of him.

Pretty sure that plan for life without Kane suppose being able to afford every striker in the world and it won't be Ings
