TBH, I'd like to sign Davies and Bony so we could fuck a team over for once.

In fact, let's do the Southampton-Swansea fuck-over double.

Bony: 8 goals scored against the likes of Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Man United and us (don't know if we should really count, though). Never scored against Chelsea.

Lukaku: 5 goals scored against Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal. Did not score against us or Man United. Obviously, he didn't play against Chelsea.

I always think it's smart to look how players fare against "the best" of the league. Both fared relatively well in honesty, given Bony's unfamiliarity in the league and Lukaku missing a match against us through injury and not being able to play either match against Chelsea.

I guess that any Bony or Lukaku deal would be depend on us getting an acceptable offer for Soldado, which may never happen and also Poch might see RS in training and think there is no way we are letting this guy go.

Jimmy Greaves had 132 goals by the time he was 21 - including 42 goals in 42 games for Chelsea when he was 21.

Jimmy Greaves was one of the best strikers the world has seen. In todays market he would be worth over £100m.

What were there assists against the the same teams?

JJ agreed with this.

Contradicts what Stobart said but I know who I trust more.

(Obviously @JJetset )
Not really, as Stobart said weeks ago that we made an offer but he wants to wait for Arsenal, so maybe we dropped our interest then. Unless Stobart has said something recently?

He said the same in an article today but from his point of view, the Remy transfer isn't dependant on us signing Bony or Lukaku (we could sign Remy AND one of those two- which IMO is what we should do)

When he said "Spurs have also targeted QPR forward Loic Remy" I read that as, we have targeted his as another option to Bony & Lukaku, but I guess it could mean as well as too.

Don't want Bony or Lukaku, don't believe Townsend could get his head out of his arse long enough to supply either of these (or both @JJetset) with twenty goals and neither will our dimwitted full backs.

We've got the strikers to get on the end of things, we just need the the players to provide the beginning of things.

If he can be motivated. And I would imagine that a disciplinarian like Poch might be an issue. Here's hoping that's not the case though

My biggest worry, personally. Hopefully Ade views it as a way to get better and takes on the challenge. It'll be miserable hearing the "Poch couldn't get the most out of Ade but I could" articles from Sherwood.

His best season in the EPL was under Wenger and he is just as much (if not more) a disciplinarian as Poch.

Lambert said Poch taught him how to properly play as a lone striker and I wonder how Ade would react to someone coming in and trying to teach him how to play his position, will he embrace it, as he wants to improve or think who is this guy trying to come in and tell me how to do the job I have been doing for x number of years.

I'd rather get rid of Ade than Soldado - I just do not see Ade playing well in any structured offensive system. He did not work out with AVB, and while I expect Pochetiino to be more relaxed in his instructions, I think it will more restrictive than Tim's "Run around a bit" instructions. Ade seems like he needs/wants that creative freedom to do what he wants, and Pochettino is more likely to require that he play a certain way.
