Dan G on COYS

My mate works for the company that runs the Spurs website and apparently there is/was going to be a big announcement at 2pm.

Just tried to check now, but the site is down.... (403 Forbidden). Hmmmmmm.

I have no idea if this is something boring and trivial and purely an announcement relating to the site (like a new website) layout, or if it's something more exciting.

Anyway, just thought I would pass on!

new kit? hope so my birthday day is coming up I want it for then (big kid)

Buyout clauses are actually a legal requirement in some countries (Spain for definite, Messi has one of circa £1b Portugal possibly), in the grand scheme of things they mean little though.

I have no idea what the OS is doing though. Its just seems strange to have to take your website down to make an announcement.
They could have hit a splash screen to get people's attention if it was the kit or a signing (never seen them take the website down before we announce a signing either)

Can only think its a re design. Re uploading the new images and coding and had to take everything else down first... (im sure they could have done it to load everything on the server and then upload and replace the web pages at the end...)

One of the best suggestion on COYS was :

they're going to announce that they're no longer going to bother having a website.

we're now seeing the flaw with that announcement.

When was that posted on COYS? as its an hour and quarter after it was meant to have what ever it was meant too.

I suspect it's more likely that the Summer intern has accidentally pressed the 'fuck everything up' button.

Messi on a pre-contract agreement I reckon....

On another note, I can't believe I've been a member of this site for 8 years and only just found out about the Amazon thing. Rob would've been a millionare by now.
