I agree with that, especially in regards to Lamela. Ideally, I'd have Eriksen on the left, Lamela centrally, and a pacey winger on the right.

That is far from Eriksen's ideal postion. Eriksen is and will for the foreseeable future at least be a CMF.

We should loan Pritch to Villa and then it might be like the hilarious Walker situation, when he was absolutely on fire there and the Villa fans for some reason thought we'd just given him to them for nowt and it wasn't a loan deal.

Oh how we laughed at the time! Not so much now, of course. Still better than Hutton though.

Eriksen has 40+ caps
Pritchard has 40+ championship games
So fucking what? We can't have experienced internationals as backup in every position.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one, I think. IMO Eriksen doesn't have what it takes to be an effective playmaker.

Pritchard I think will play well for us when he gets game time. And he will also put some pressure on Eriksen, who needs it. Eriksen is very talented but his form goes up and down, and it looks like his commitment does a bit too. He needs someone snapping at his heels! I've been impressed by Danny Rose's reaction to Davies coming in, and I think a bit of pressure on someone like Eriksen who has spent most of his career being first name on the teamsheet or thereabouts would do him good. Ideally, Pritchard will fight for and win a place somewhere in the line behind the striker for himself - I really wouldn't mind us having a selection dilemma caused by "too many" good players pushing for a place there, rather than the "can we get a combination that will click?" dilemma we seem to have had for parts of this season.

Wish people would stop saying Pritchard is ready to play for us next season. The fact is he has only played SEVEN MINS of Prem football. Our own coaching staff probably don't know if he's ready which is why he'll be assessed throughout Pre-Season. If they believe he's ready I'm sure he'll be integrated into the first team squad. If not then a loan to another Prem team would be brilliant!

It's mostly the same type of people who thought Yedlin would be a starter by now and that Fazio would lead us to cup glory, coz, you know, he's a beast in the air. Davies was going to be one of the best LB's in the league. Remember that

Of course, anyone offering a slightly more restrained opinion during the transfer window tend to get shot down. Everyone who signs for the mighty Spurs is going to be the nuts, obviously.

Pritchard deserves a place in our squad for next season to show what he can do.

He deserves a very very fair chance in pre season, then we evaluate whether he will progress better as part of our first team squad in whatever capacity he is deemed good enough for and improve our squad. Or whether he will progress better getting more regular first team football at the same level for someone else.

I agree but I will go with what pochettino says mate. Hopefully he agrees with us lol
Apparently poch has been on the phone to him after most Brentford games so he's kept a close eye on him...I suspect for a good reason.

Eriksen needs the push as well.

Because players from our academy with no international experience have taken their place.
Well we have one position where a much better experienced international has taken the place of an academy produced experienced international. But other than that, you're spot on.

It's not a question of whether they are 'ready'. Its whether you think people like Pritchard (and others, like Fredericks and Veljkovic) deserve a chance based on what you have seen of them, what they have shown so far and whether they can bring qualities to the squad that is already missing, and whether squad places/opportunities should go to these players rather than buying in even more players.

You never know if any player is ready, its if you believe they deserve to be given a shot.
