Good morning ITK-ers

Hows it hanging? I only ask because It has been brought to my attention that Daniel Levy 'dresses' well, erm, neither left nor right.

Whats 'dressing' you ask?

Apologies to the female membership but this applies to men only. To dress left means to put one's penis down the left trouserleg when dressing. You can dress left, dress right, or have a really small penis.

So there you go. And there was me thinking dwarves were universally hung like grand national winners. You learn something every day.

I'm not looking forward to today because Mrs A&C is going to have a go at me for jumping to conclusions. I just know she is. She accuses me of not taking an interest in our children, which blatantly isn't true, last week I picked the fat one up from school, or college or something……….And you know the only time she screams my name in bed? When I fart. No wonder i'm a miserable ****.

OK fair enough, i've bored you all to death with my problems, you want to hear more about Levy right? Well, SC can exclusively reveal Daniel Levy will soon be approaching FIFA and EUFA with plans to replace players and everything with Subbuteo. The financial gains would be massive. His BSoDL are already onside with this but he faces a fight to convince the football authorities and Sky Sports. Meanwhile he's fine tuning his plans by looking for a 14 fingered subbuteo superstar, applications from Norfolk will be given the strongest consideration.

Right, I have to go now, Mrs A&C just walked into the office and wants to know what i'm doing. Can't let her know i'm talking to you ****s :cautious:

Enjoy the ITK, love the ITK and embrace the ITK…….I know it's a new concept for some, but talk about the ITK!

I love you all (he lied)

Trix on COYS:

Me: "is Schneiderlin off now?"

Reply: "MS has shown nothing but interest in joining us and this goes back a long way. Perhaps he has had his head turned by a big CL club very recentlty, but if that is the case they haven't made an approach to his club yet".

Me: "Arsenal?"

Reply:" possibly, although they are very confident on Vidal, very confident."

I think the prudent thing would be to listen to what Schneiderlin himself is saying and has said all all season. He wants to play cl. We are not cl. He is not coming to us.

We could've got him last summer if we'd moved quickly but took too long and allowed everyone else to pillage Southampton and they closed shop.

Looking forward to another day of;
"Schneiderlin wants to come to us"
"No, he wants to play CL"
"But he is really interested in us"
"Yeah, but we don't play CL"

Shame about the Ings going elsewhere.... I would have loved to see him with us.

Hey Morgan - you want CL. We want CL. Maybe, you know, between the two of us, we could get CL...

The thing is, has Schneiderlin ever said that he wants champions league next year? He says he wants to stay in the Premier League and wants to play in CL, but that could be eventually. Clutching at straws here...

YiddoInPoland

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Wouldn't be a spursy window if we don't get the obligatory several players are close to all players are going elsewhere day.

Ings i think would have been a good bit of business, but good luck to him wherever he ends up. The whole Schneiderlin situation is becoming very boring very quickly, surely we should know if he has any interest in coming, if not, drop it like a stone and go look elsewhere, no point wasting time on it.

We wont pay what saints want. We've been through this song and dance before. Why the hell we are going through it again is beyond me. There must really be no plan b for Poch on this. Kinda like his tactical skills. Not shocking, but extremely worrisome and we've all seen how this movie ends. As it just ended with another manager a year and a half ago. Oh well, at least Klopp is still probably gonna be around when Poch gets sacked. Whats up with Levy hiring managers who rely on signing some big player(s) and have no plan b's on transfers or tactics?

Also, no one should be shocked on Ings. Liverpool have so much more to offer and kept their pursuit up. However, in typical SC fashion, everyone got their hopes up. Why everyone wants him is beyond me though. He's good, dont get me wrong, but they're are much, much better options out there. Just have to look outside england.

Salvio, Ings and potentially Schneiderlin ruled out in a morning. That's a frustrating start to the day.

The Star have quotes from him saying as much:
"If I leave Southampton it is for a club that plays better than the Europa League.

"The Champions League is my goal. If I leave Southampton it will be for a club in the Champions League."

Disappointing about Schneiderlin, should have gone harder for him last summer. If we can't get Cabaye, our shiny, new scouting network will be put to the test.

Relax everybody. Morgan's just getting into the SC frame of mind with a cryptic.

When he says he wants CL, he's actually saying he wants Ciel because he's French and Ciel is French for Heaven.

Heaven is a song by the Psychedelic Furs and the words that follow 'Heaven' in the chorus are 'is the whole of our hearts and'.

'is the whole of our hearts and' is an anagram of 'White Hart Lane Frodo House'.

'White Hart Lane Frodo House' is obviously a reference to the office of our hobbit-sized Chairman.

And so what MS is really saying is that he wants to sign a contract with Levy to play for Spurs.

Or am I clutching at straws, do you think?

Not sure if this was posted over the weekend (apologies if so and feel free to delete), again in the NFL thread on COYS, posted by PROF:
(Not transfer related, but it is ITK...)

Nothing really new, but for those who enjoy hearing the smaller snippets, here are a couple.

From Galahad:

"All major terms agreed by principals. As with most complex contracts, the devil is in the details. Far more important to get it right, than agree to a bad deal. Patience. There's no rush. June should be a good month for THFC.

"

From a new source, Ghalib:

"We bide our time. No rush. Next month, next year, the summer before the new stadium opens, makes no great difference. DL wants a single shirt/stadium sponsor. He's learned from his neighbours, and ours."

The whole point of our new scouting network is an acknowledgement that Schneiderlin, Cabaye and the link are a very tall ask for a club like us to get. Once in a blue moon a player like that may be available for a price we can afford at a time when no bigger clubs are interested (ie Lloris). For the most part we need to buy these players at the same time that Newcastle and Saints did- before they were recognised or became that good. To do that regularly and effectively we needed Mitchell and the rest of our new geek squad of analysts, as well as Broomfield back who will no doubt head up a refresh of the good ol' fashioned field scouting.

I'm thinking our summer maybe more Kevin Wimmers and Kieran Trippiers than Morgan Schnerderlins and Matt Hummels. No less excited to see what we come up with though...

hertyid in nfl/ownership thread: Been away for a while. Spoke with my friend. He flew to Malaysia on Saturday (with Ossie again, his new travel companion) and will be in meetings the next few days. Some big commercial deals being signed by the sounds of it. Can't see this being anything but good news.

And that is precisely why we should also expect some (or even the majority) of them 'not to make the grade'. Good prospects will always be that, but there are no guarantees. It seems a little callous but if the clubs style of operation is to invest and then discard then we as fans shouldn't get too upset over it. The more money you pay the less risk there is (buying a finished article), but I guess Soldado shows that this isn't always the case!

I really couldn't care who we sign as long as they come in and do a job. I'd not heard of Berbatov, Bale, Modric or Lloris before they came. I had heard or Bent and Rebrov. It means nothing.

So there's no malaise here, good news.
