And by the way, there's threads dedicated to homegrown players - have you visited them to chat about this by any chance?
Sure, but the general discussion was related to itk that Soldado will be able to leave if the price but most likely we will not get the right price for him thus he will not leave. Looking at the squad list it becomes clear that we have too many non-homegrown players, because of that it could be deduced that the reason why we are willing to sell Soldado is because pretty much every non homegrown player which isn't considered a regular starter most likely is for sale, considering we plan to bring in at least two new 'non homegrown players'.

This is perfectly organic as a conversation and is very much formed through discussion based of the ITK. I felt it was valuable that someone gave that list as it made me understand the ITK information a hell lot better.

Anyway, on Paulinho (In relation to Update 158), I understand that Man utd and Liverpool may well take interest in him but I would much rather sell him abroad. There were links with Paulinho to Juve a few months back and I wonder if they would still take him. Though I suspect that any interest they may have in Paulinho would be based on if Vidal moves on (though he looks like he is staying).

partly repeating what was already posted..
ali z:
My info is there is no deal close for Bobby, AY is right if we got what we wanted we would sell bur[but] we won't.
i don't think anyone will and so late in the window we would have to have a deal lined up b4 we agreed, Wellbeck and Remy would be considered as loans but think we would look abroad, club know Ade can turn off just as easily as he can turn up.

on (fantasy)suggestions we are in for falcao: Monaco owner's had enough. [enough of spending money i guess - ali is not suggesting we are getting falcao]

ahh....AZ ends with a form of "Falcao, goodnight"....

I don't know why some people think that Dembele will be sold . Didn't we have some ITK saying he's been excellent in training? He hasn't disgraced himself on his 2 appearances so far either. I think Paulinho, Holtby & Sandro are all more likely to be shown the door than Moussa.

Speculation around Falcao on the COYS thread centred around Giroud being injured and the Scum looking at him......hope not.

I think Soldado will be here and Paulinho when the window shuts - and Vlad for that matter.

Sandro, Townsend and Holtby going.

With Fazio (obviously) and MS in..a loan for Welbeck...until we can move for Rodriguez in January.

That's how I honestly see it shaping up although things can change quickly and considerably as we all know.

I don't see Townsend and Holtby going personally...

Can they afford him though? They already spent a load on Sanchez. Not that I think we can afford him either.

Other players have played for extended periods and haven't seemed to struggle like Paulinho. This is especially confusing as when he first came to us he arrived with a reputation of having a very good engine. If anything his problems appear more to do with a lack of drive and motivation, rather than physical tiredness.
I would be as pleased as anybody to see Paulinho to stay and do well for us, but I wouldn't be surprised if we cut our losses and sell him. If we are to do that and get decent money, now probably is the right time.

Oscar faded quite a bit. I'm struggling to think of players though that literally barely had a break for two years. He had Serie A, Copa lib & state champs, Serie A, confeds cup, Prem league, World Cup then a mini break. He was definitely far more jaded second half of season compared to August & September '13 and that's not commenting on Corinthians & Confed time.

Yeah, cant see Soldado leaving. We're linked to no out and out strikers. Only other strikers we're linked to would be obvious downgrades to Soldado, and they would also be LWF's. Also, I hope he doesnt go. We need him and I think he will be one of our better players this season.

As for Paulinho, IF Utd is one of the clubs in for him(wouldnt be surprised if they are, they dont seem to grasp the fact they are in dire need of defense) and Mata is available, maybe we could do Paulinho + 15m for him? Im not selling Paulinho for anything less than 20. Utd paid 35m for mata, right? Money back for them, really. And at least it'll give Mata European football this season(while also increasing our chances of CL ten fold)

If Saints want Townsend then do Townsend + 5 for MS. Haggle them up to 15 for Townsend. 20m right there.

Been working all day and couldnt check my phone. When i just saw Daws is officially gone, I got sad. I'll miss him. Done so much for the club. Will always appreciate and have love for him.

Btw, can we dump Benny on Hull also? Paging Steve Bruce...

I don't think there'll be anywhere near that much activity - not in 6 days. .

Fazio in and BAE out are all I'm expecting now.

Gards is also saying 'no more in the pipeline'

Just going by what ITK has said...strap yourself in, loads happening etc etc

Of course loads of potential stuff doens't always come off but we shall see.

There will be some outgoings though - at the very least in the capacity of loans, regardless if we get MS in or not.

No, he said:

Reckon fazio will be the last in?

@tottenhamtalk1 no more are on the horizon

Which is fucking annoying. Because he's either saying- no, there isn't going to be any more signings.

Or, he's saying- No, there are more players coming in.

I'm going for the latter because his previous info (IIRC) has suggested we are looking for more than just Fazio...and because I'm optimistic.

Oh and @Ledleys Knee - this is Daniel Levy we're talking about :D

If we sold Soldado and replaced him with a younger, faster, sharper forward who fits the system and can grow with us I would absolutely get it done.

Soldado is a good player but he's pushing 30 and he's just not much of a goal threat in this league.

If he stays I hope he proves me wrong, I just don't see it...

I spoke to Gards, he said there is lots going on and we are active, I think he just missed out a comma after "no".
