OK, i've crushed yesterday's mini revolt using a combination of velvet glove and iron fist (mainly iron fist) and we've lost an assortment of (searches for a polite way of putting it) spunkbubbles, mingesmiths and idiots. There's been a bit of a rise in ITK bashing lately, the price for that has also been paid.

We don't like it when it gets that far and It's all a fat arse shame really but as I used to call out to your mums, hey-ho

So, here we are again, trying hard to have some fun with it all, so put a clean pair of knickers on and settle down for any ITK we might get. Meanwhile, I feel the Bale, Kane and Ndombele threads really do need some input :sneaky:

barca want a fee for rakitic as things stand we will only do a loan as he is 32 but Jose loves him
then
if the club would sanction it Jose most definitely thinks he has another season in him for sure

then with regards to some fringe players being bought

the reality is there has to be buyers for these players and other than tangy and serge who we have had bids for but not at the right level we have no interest in players currently and to be frank only Kane , son and gio are untouchable right now we would look at all other bids
we have very little money , the right back we really want they are asking 35 million and the striker 45-50 , these deals only happen if serge and tangy go and we recoup 60-65 million

tangy is also on massive money shifting him would also allow for a couple of loans

then

tangy only goes for 42 mill otherwise he stays put

Dragon ITK is interesting. Didn't he own a restaurant that Lewis likes? He seems to be posting very regularly now which is also odd. Not sure what to make of it ?

As with all ITK some salt is needed given things change so quickly, people hearing things from sources with their own agendas etc but I would say for Dragon a large dose of salt is needed

I'm loving the we have no money line, seems only Coronavirus has affected Spurs, just our luck.

Maybe we could all chip in an extra fiver for our memberships to not get to see games this season?

Dragon keeps saying 42 mill, I thought the figure in the press was much higher? Or is that before add-ons? In which case, I wonder if part of José's reluctance to play him at the end of the season was because we'd trigger a performance clause on my number of games or something.

Thanks for the ITK as always. Regarding the very little money statement. Maybe the club are pumping out this narrative that we have no money to make it common knowledge when we go into transfer dealings to start lowballing. I know we have a stadium to pay for that has been carefully financed to ensure it doesn't impact our transfer budget (confirmed by Levy in March 2019). Now since then, we have had a global epidemic that has affected everyone. Not just us. When you look at our revenue figures posted yearly over the last 5-10 years we have consistently improved and been one of the best run clubs financially in Europe.

I'm not expecting us to go out and spend a bucket load as we just don't know what the future will hold and when revenues will return back to normal, but I just don't believe that we are being hit seemingly worse than the rest of the league who don't run their club half as well as we do. I don't see us spending much at all as Levy may continue to pump this narrative out that we're skint but time will tell as we just don't know how this has hit other clubs. At the end of the window when we see who spent what will be the time to judge.

If there is any truth in the Rakitic and Coutinho links then this seems like the most likely solution for TN doesn't it? A combination of loan exchanges? Might be fanciful but could suit all parties...

Less worried about fringe players as hopefully the likes of Tanganga, Sess, Clarke, Foyth etc will get minutes particuarly in the early part of the season where we'll have 3 games a week, but we have to address the glaring weaknesses in the squad is critical - RB, CM (if Tanguy goes) and Striker.

No it doesn't, it affected pretty much every football club in the world.

It was officially announced by Lyon it's 60m euro and 10m in addons. Dragon keeps saying 42m and that's the money Lyon received because Amiens had 20% sell-on clause.

I think that price probably reflects a year of depreciation. In accounting terms, his value is whatever we paid for him, minus 1/5th (assuming it was a 5 year contract) for every year that passes until the deal runs out or he signs a new one. It basically means Levy is happy to pay for the year we've had from him, but a figure below 80%, of what we paid, is a loss.

But why would we want to recoup £42million when we shelled out a potential £63/£64million? It shouldn't matter to us who Lyon had to give a certain percentage of the money to.

Wasn't that AtlantaYid and he was pally with some guy pretty high up at Tavistock rather than Lewis himself?

That's the point. We don't want to recoup £42million but more - 54-55 Levy paid.

We're the only club that had to secure a £175 million loan from the Bank of England but it's not like anyone except the Chavs and City are really flush with cash

Doesn’t sound good does it, looks like we’ll have to recoup big money for Tanguy if we want to sign a back up striker or a rb

That's an accountant's way of looking at things. Levy is more concerned about value than P&L, and as an owner, so he should be.

That doesn't mean we have to agree with him of course.

The only other possible remedy might be that we loan Ndombele out for a fee and that may allow 1-2 certain types of loans back in the way like Rakitic.

If Ndombele can be loaned out to somewhere he’s happy to go, and better performances follow suit, it might have to be something along those lines if no one is willing to to stump up the required money.
