Right, I was going to say veteran transfer rumours watchers, but you've got the collective attention span of a gnat, so we'll swerve that and go with something else.

We're in the final week of all this, (thank the god of the two headed minge sweepers) and this is what you can expect.

A rumour about a 'big' signing, which will be followed by a considerable number of you running around with your todgers out, furiously bashing away as you gasp out the name of who you hope it is. This is only a slight departure as it's probably somewhere close to what you'd get up to anyway.

The clock will, as is it's want, count down to the deadline.

Deadline is reached and passed, said 'big' signing fails to materialise. (can you imagine my shock)

This results in a massive kickback against the club and Rumpelstiltskin, furious bickering and those amongst you who actually get off on negativity will have erections so hard you could use it to knock down the post office tower.

My advice would be that you to stay calm, take your salt and just watch it unfold. But this is the point when we get back to gnats and attention spans. Some would say you should stop being so gullible. Others that you're as thick as shit. I think that's grossly unfair on you all. I think you're all shrewd, streetwise fuckers and we won't see any of the teeth grinding, buttcheek clenching rage that i'm predicting and i'll look a proper mug*.

*haha, zero chance of that. Fucking zero.

Anyway, kidding aside, letsa go!

Jayden sancho has popped up again from breaking it at the start of the window and could be a late opp before the deadline ! Man Utd have asked about reg availability as cover for lb United would need to offset some of sancho wages if we pursue it though !

If he comes in this will have been one of our best ever windows, especially considering we wouldn't have sold one of our start players to cover the costs (at least it looks that way now).

Sancho would be an incredible signing for us (probably wont happen as A&C stated in the beginning of the thread), however, even sending them reggie would be a win.

Would be a risky signing but if he gets back to form he’d be perfect for our system.

Is there a Sancho thread, or if not please may we have one so we don't spam in here?

I actually agree, suspect lots here wouldn't though, but a firing Sancho, would be great business.

He has the talent that’s for sure. Utd has just been a complete non starter move for him (like a lot of players!). I also think he has a profile that we could really do with more of.

Obvious question marks around character and professionalism given the ETH side of the argument.

I wonder if when Ange speaks to him he’ll be convinced that Sancho really wants to play for Spurs, but on the other hand Ange does like someone who has something to prove.

Considering how well he played for Dortmund I don't think he lost any of his quality. At least when watching the games it felt that way with how much the commentators wouldn't shut up about him haha

I would like this to be a loan with option to sign him so that if he has a stormer of a season with us then Man Utd can’t just take him back with us having trained up one of their players.

Definitely could be a good option as he is clearly a super talent, even though he is best off the left like the rest of our wingers 😂

Interesting.

There's a good player somewhere in there, certainly from a talent perspective. No real injury worries, good all round attacker.

My gut tells me he has a noticeably higher ceiling than Johnson. Seems to operate better on the right too.

You can definitely see the logic. Wouldn't be against this at all, on the right terms.

I don’t see him being a good fit simply because of his wages and previous attitude issues. He’s also much better on the left where we have an abundance of players.

Can he put in the performances we need on the right? I’m not so sure tbh.

Sancho would be a good move for us I think. A loan with an option to buy would be beneficial, but I’m not sure whether United would be willing to do us any favours.

That said, taking Reguilon’s wages off our books would help considerably. Would including Reguilon encourage them to do a deal with us rather than Juventus, for example? It may help swing things in our direction.

A Sancho loan I could perhaps be ok with but personally I wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. From what I've read (obviously could be bollocks) he threw the baby out of the bath water because he wanted to only play on the left at Utd. He won't be only playing on the left here either so I can't see how this would work unless he has a massive attitude change (which is much needed)
