It might just be my mood speaking today, but one must wonder whether alluding to guessing names is a much better and nobler approach than actually guessing names.

Edit: What was the name of the main actor in Dawson's creek?:LOL::LOL:

Not sure the other relates to anyone at Ajax, we know who it is? And it's not the Brazilian (Moura). Sess??

That last bit on Hercules post....Is someone pretending to be him on Twitter? Didn't someone do that to Trix in the summer?

Pretty sure some idiot made up an account for Trix and Grey Fox. Both added me. Sad people.

I very much prefer shopping in Amsterdam to France. If I can find my size 13 boots there i'm sure Levy can find something he fancies (and i'm not talking about a midget prostitute :cautious:),

My interpretation is that the other one is a contingency if one of our players were to leave.

De Ligt, if Toby goes would be my guess.

Or a midfielder to replace Dele, just in case he ups sticks when Raiola gets his grubby hands on him.

I believe DeLigt is an extremely well regarded CB prospect who would make a great future partner for Sanchez, but yeah, probably would be because Toby would be leaving in a year or so. Jan is getting older but CBs can play longer than others and still probably has three or four more good years.

How about a midfielder to replace Dembele? That is an actual need one might envision having.

'Contingency' seems to imply a backup in case one of our main pursuits fails, unless it's a contingency in addition to the 2-from-3 we've heard about.

And I hate and am terrible at cryptics... but I wouldn't want to lose the information, and other people are better than me at deciphering all this.

I'm happy to assume that we're aware of players who're capable of improving the squad/team and have a reasonable idea of how much those player will cost (fee/wages), where they are with their clubs and how likely they are to join us. Players in the right place on all three of those counts will be a pretty small slice of the pie, and firm interest from our side is likely to cause a ratcheting up of fees, and possibly wage demands as well.

As per ITK in the past, ‘contingency’ doesn’t necessarily mean a lower calibre of player, it can actually mean a better player albeit costing more in terms of transfer fee and wages.

Surely it's a contingency if we miss out on our first target.

I assume it relates to this:

"Ajax, i already mentioned a while back we have 2 in mind, and one being young Kluivert, and the other we now know who that is. We have an interest in another, as well as a young striker in Germany. That particular one is dependent on him not signing a contract with his present club, and has less than 2 years remaining on his present one."
Young German striker? Max Meyer linked in the past, out of contract this summer?
