Well, if AEG take over they'll get Blanc (and I'll cry because Yank owners are a disaster) and if the Qatari's come in they'll get AVB (and I'll dance the funkiest jive ever seen because oily owners are awesome).
There is a fair amount of oil money in the US, what are you going to do if it's a Yank oil owner?

I don't know whether anyone has mentioned yet, but should we assume that JJ's little late night gem a couple of weeks ago "anyway that Joe Lewis" was clearly a reference to the fact that he may not be our owner for much longer ?

Add to that Levy's sacking of Redknapp quote "I've spoken to the owner and we're going in a different direction".

IMO the reference to a diffferent direction is that Levy's Spurs business plan is buily on developing and buying young players (both players like Vertonghen and developing players through the academy or buying and loaning out ala Walker). This minimises transfer fees and wages and allows Spurs to compete with the big boys.

Redknapp likes experienced players with premiership experience (= high fees and wages) because they are less risk and will have an immediate impact.

Stories that come to mind is HR saying he wants Nelsen to stay for a year and to loan out Caulker come to mind as the potential friction between the two mind sets. Equally HR comments when Walker and Naughton wrre purchased - saying they were being bought for the future whilst he wanted to focus on the first team (true - but inference wa that he would have prefered the money to be spent on a first team player of his choosing rather than the 2 Sheffield United players.

No offense to the Goat, but can somebody please explain how revealing who is thinking about buying our club might jeopardize the sale? Letting it be known would only possibly cause other bidders if they learn we are for sale. Our Club has one majority shareholder-ENIC. Which is owned by Lewis and Levy. They would be aware of any proposed buyer. There could not be a stockholder "revolt." It makes no sense.

As long as they don't behave like ****s, we've always made other fans welcome on here. You've been on SC even longer than me and should know that.

Apart from that, we're supposed to be interested in Sigurdsson, so that post was more on-topic than most of the stuff on here.
A few things:
1. I don't recall seeing him/her post before and have never heard of the people who he was talking about.
2. 'We are supposed to be interested' doesn't equal ITK. The poster may be ITK and the names quoted may be ITK to somebody. So I concede that there is a slim chance that his post might have been on topic.
3. My tone was brusque, and upon reflection was probaly harsh.
4. A miserable fucker like you pulling me up on it is the ultimate irony.

Oi!

It's true. I haven't been let near a cryptic this summer, which I assure you is your loss. At this rate I could quite easily "go rogue" and start an entire thread just of my cryptics. In fact, that could be a punishment for spam in this thread. You're only allowed into "Be ITK with BO". (yes, I've got the title of the thread already. Problem?).

Your prerequisite to join is soap dodging?

Oh and Joe Lewis just sold a small stake in one of his bio firms.... About £1.1b in total

And it was a small share. About 0.8%. I've a feeling it's coming our way. He wants to play with the big boys.

If not, it's a fucking big boat hes buying

Please I've done everything to not be a ****. I went so far as to ask people not to post info on the days game in case fellow supporters were watching later. I had actually watched, but was trying to be nice. Got treated like I had posted a treatise on why pedophilia is okay. Maybe it was wrong of me, but if I had raped these fuckers mums, the would have treated me kinder. With very little aggro ever I've been called a faggot, cock, coward and pompous ass. I have pissed some of the most well regarded members with no more than geniality, on their assumption that I wasn't actually earnest.

So please don't blow wind up up that Liverpool guys ass about how fucking welcoming we are to non ****s. Being a **** is the only way to get treated with a modicum of respect here.

And don't get me wrong, I have 8-9 people that treat me lovely. But most don't because I have the audacity to be absurd. Absurdism bad. Treating people like jizz whores good.

Run away scouser.

could that no from Blanc be because he wanted to concentrate on the Euros and not loose focus ala HR? or was it i don't want to manage an a team in the EPL without knowing exactly what was on table for transfer funds?

i take it the 3 signings your saying we are in for + Verts will come out of that £80m?

I'm drawing a blank on the BM volley player.
Adebayor and Vertonghen would be great.
Hopefully the French GK is Lloris. So good.
AVB is good for me.

All in all, it seems like a ton of HUGE moves. Given our lack of those recently I'm inclined to take a wait and see approach. Appreciate the info though.

BM player - Seems to indicate Reus (Borussia Monchengladbach), but he's already agreed to a Dortmund move...would be perfect though. Hope the French keeper's Lloris and not Carasso/Mandanda

Cheers for the info Akqayid. Did Muller score a volley? I can't remember!

edit: if it's Reus then I assume it must be on loan from Dortmund. No idea why they would loan him out after selling Kagawa though.

 i always love it when you post because there's so much info.
"Frog GK" - Lloris? or Carrasso?
"BM player - scored a volley"
not sure if either of them scored a volley, but they are both (or were) players for a club named "BM" and both scored for germany:
phillip lahm - not him simply stated
and marco reus - literally just transferred to Borussia Dortmund from Borussia Monchengladbach, so can't be him.
hmm

German NT scorers from yesterday were Lahm, Klose, Rues, and Khedira (?). He didn't specify which game the volley came in though.
