drags needs to eat some humble pie thought he was British lol, since when has NZ produced footballers

THEN

he is one of the irons in the fire for sure , people get set on one player but the reality is we are negotiating on 3 or 4 right now
the center half situation is clearer due to benficas no go on Dias is a toss up between diop and skriniar
Tough choice :cautious:

Sounds like nothing is close then, just lots of irons in fires etc. Sounding atm like a deadline day jobby with no specific target in mind!

I do not think they'll leave it that late, I think by weekend, we have 4 games next week

Whams board running scared their fans have gone nuts unless player goes on strike etc move looking unlikely now

Dias has gone from zero chance to small possibility Now

skriniar huge favorite now I would say

D1 posts were late night and then again this morning , so maybe things changed over night.

Did he change his mind in 2 minutes? Or have you gone through his last couple days posts. It was diop or skriniar a couple posts ago

Wow, so much info, thanks @Bubble44 for passing it on. Don’t forget skriniar is the one united wanted to drop £80m on only 18mths ago so either him or Dias and edouard/milik would be absolutely sensational. AND if dl can somehow keep the net spend to about £50m whilst keeping the stars, just inconceivable, that’s a dream window probably never bettered.

Can't believe that hammers would sell to us especially with how toxic it is with their fans at minute.
I don't remember any ITK over last what 10 years or so posting as much as D1

the Skriniar news are unpleasant and really hope Diop is not the one PL center back we're targeting. he has shown flashes in the past but has been underwhelming as of late (for a while now). feel like it would be more of the same error prone type of player.
Diop reminds me of a French Davinson Sanchez. A lot of talent and potential, but too many unforced errors.

Wow lots of info to wake up to?

Personally I would feel a bit meh with Diop or the Korean guy as it does not sound they are the finished article that give our defence the needed stability.

So Skriniar would be a great addition and for the back up striker I could settle with nearly everyone we are linked with.

Wonder how we will manage to get a net spend under 50m or so. Right now we must already be close to it with acquiring Sergio, Pierre and Matt and basically just sold Kwp for decent money.
Interesting week ahead, as to get the targets in at least two Non HG players need to leave. Come on Davy boy, give us what we need.

Unforced errors is the last the team needs. They have been really costly to us in recent history. We need a very solid leader and performer at CB. Someone who always produces a 7 or 8 out of 10 rating.

I think where he’d have got confused on Wood is that he is HG.

Lots of interesting info. He seems confident both in the imminence of our arrivals and the quality, as well as our sales going through too. Good news to start the day with.

What a set of updates to wake up to tomorrow. Have to say I feel I’m most excited that it won’t be Diop! But I think all the strikers mentioned would be great, I’m glad some of the ones in the press are nonsense.

really crazy window so far watching us do some great business. A friend of mine is a ManU fan and he’s moaning that they have done so little so far etc... it’s absolutely wonderful it being the other way round for once with us doing at least some business early.

I hope the sell to us and I hope they go down. I don't hate Ars*nal - I just feel sorry for the mugs. I despise West Ham though.

I think if we sell the players we need to sell, it could easily pay for Skriniar. Rose and Serge-15 mil. Foyth 10-15 mil and I really think either Lucas or Lamela has to go with Bale coming in which should be at least 20 mil. I’m probably forgetting someone else that could go for 10-15 mil as well. At this point, we need to just get squad spots open and ship out the deadwood. I hope Levy’s hard bald won’t get in the way of that.

Dragon in overdrive. Great to see the pendulum swing towards Skriniar rather than Diop. Ties up with Hitchen being pictured in Italy. Fingers crossed this Italian delegation has a breakthrough on both Milik and Skriniar today.

Must say though, perfectly happy with Wood as an alternative to Milik.

In 2013, we lost exciting Bale and went for a plethora of new signings, with only Eriksen and imho Lamela really working out. The cohesion wasn't there and I think AVB, bless him, wasn't as canny as Mourinho in picking players. This window we've re-signed a more experienced and trophy laden Bale, with a more nuanced approach to players. Experience in Doc, superb youthful skill and potential in Reg, bite from PEH, as well and ex England goalie in his keeper prime years.

And we're seemingly not done. So... I agree. If they pull off Milik and Skriniar and then a midfielder, that's gotta be up there with anybody's window.

I think it’s imperative to get it sorted out in the next 4/5 days. I’ll be very nervous going into the final days of the window still without the striker situation sorted. Very happy that we’ve got a few options on the table though. Thanks for the whoring too Bubble, awesome work from you this window.
