Told dele has knuckled down since being dropped and Jose happy if he stays

Very happy about Dele more than likely staying. He's a phenomenal talent and maybe Jose has got the right reaction out of him to kickstart his career with us. He was coasting for too long, which is not just his fault.

VY also said we are in for Diop, which potentially tallies with Dragon's info about a non-top 6 defender.

Just can't see those weirdos selling him to us though.

If say that’s a feather in Dele’s cap. Players can get the arse about being criticised and decide I’m not hanging around. This suggests he believes in the project.

Feathers in caps all round!!

Let's see if this actually transpires into performances before getting too ahead of ourselves - I really hope that we're going to see Dele turn it around, but I get the feeling with Jose, one bad performance and we'll be back to square one.

Yeah credit to dele and I'm very happy he looks to have knuckled down but I do think Jose has pulled off a big moment here, he's potentially taken a risk which could cause unrest in the dressing room and he's been rewarded with (Hopefully) a player with big talent finally getting back on track and also sending a huge message to the rest of the squad. There's no favourites anymore and I think he's given himself a big chunk of managerial power in that dressing room. Really is great news.

supposedly tested positive for Covid yesterday and had to withdraw from the game against Hull at the last minute..... could be a cover west ham trying to save face and not let the fans know he's refusing to play as he wants to join us?

That’ll knock a few million of his price then!!

I was thinking more the two week isolation taking him past deadline day on the fifth. Can’t see how that happens now even if we somehow did a deal with the Dildo brothers.

We didn't want him to leave but with JJ and Hercs forming a formidable partnership, there just wasn't the path through to the first page here for him. He's taken the opportunity to join a relative newcomer but one which is going places, already challenging for a Top 4 spot and pushing some of the traditional giants like Coys. With his experience over the years, I'm sure he'll prove a valuable asset to TFC. We wish him well and hope he's successful.
I joined tfc earlier to see his posts. They love A&c over there :cautious:

Thanks for passing on.

Glad of this - Bottom line with Dele is that i don't think he has a poor attitude, it's his consistency which needs work.

Tell you what, if their season tickets are cheaper l’m fucking off to them. I pay a fortune for an executive box on this site and all I get is the privilege of a flash of A&C’s beard tickler

Perhaps, but the fact that he is training harder will motivate his team mates. Also the threat of being dropped in a bigger and higher quality squad is what we've been wanting for ages. No easy rides should be the norm, not a surprise. Dele Alli on form is amazing. If he can be dropped, all the others know there is a chance they might.

Motivation, sharper edge, better performances. Hopefully.

Really looking forward to seeing who this bloomin' striker is going to be.

Based on the Édouard iTK, will be interesting to see if he plays in EL match tomorrow for Celtic.

I was reading this morning that Scottish clubs are in the brown stuff because they will struggle to survive without attendances.

Not sure if Celtic are loaded or not, but could cause them to make him more available...

Another feather in the cap for Jose, great news.

More good news if so. It seems like Jose is really actually handling the squad extremely well and that his methods so far... are not falling flat and causing mass fall outs. Certain less valuable players with the wrong attitude have been almost forced out such as Danny Rose but if Jose dropping Dele is the rocket up his bottom he needed to come back and provide the consistent quality performances of 2-3 seasons ago then brilliant. So far the treatment of Ndombele also is now showing to have started to pay off, all great news and with more and more wins I can feel the momentum and spirit building under Jose. Still not convinced Dele will be a n.o10 for us and we looked much better in a 4-3-3 and would rather he moves back slightly into a n.o 8 role but that conversation is for the Dele player thread, anyways good to hear.

Only issue is if we are not selling him then how on earth do we have money for a CB, ST and possible a CM but this is a strange old summer for Spurs so lets just keep enjoying the ride for once :)
