With the window ticking down and De Ligt and Pavard looking unlikely, I’d have to think Levy would breathe a sigh of relief if Poch and Toby can make amends. On paper it really does seem like the best move for us right now (of course the personal issues matter far more in real life than on paper) and it surely makes it easier for us to conclude our other deals assuming a Martial swap is truly off the table.

Interesting to see if that would affect our HG targets as well, maybe makes us push a little harder on Zaha?

If Toby stays, then Foyth needs a loan. The problem with that though is that he's likely a valuable U21 option for squad registration.

If it's an option then just give him a new contract and then we don't have to worry about signing another CB. Crossing something off our transfer to-do list can only be a good thing considering how late we are leaving it yet again.

Foyth is really Jan’s Understudy. Hopefully he will play some more games this season.

If the Toby stuff comes off then we certainly won’t need any CH’s which is excellent.

I think we should sign a midfield player and go with Dier, Sanchez, Verts and Toby as centre halves. Would be the best set in the league by far. Still have a back three option with Davies able to play LCB in that shape.

Foyth needs regular games, preferably in England.

Personally would be absolutely delighted if Toby stays, he is a magnificent player! Thanks Herc as always!

Alderweireld over an inexperienced De Ligt & a new kid in town Pavard any day of the week. I'm sorry but if we are able to secure Pochettino, Kane, Sanchez, Winks, Son, Lamela, Eriksen, Dele & Alderweireld on strong/ long term deals when everyone else is blowing their load on Richarlisons etc I think that would be a huge achievement this window/ summer.

Get Hugo and Vertonghen to follow and that's impressive with so many class acts secured either with longevity and more security holding cards should bigger clubs come in for them that really would be a slice of success any Spurs fan would be crazy to ignore

Better hurry up the few will be rising daily and with the new investment and promises might make grealish stay say what you like about him but he is a villa boy and would staying really bother him?

If he's serious about his career he'll want to play in the champions league rather than the Championship next season.

Don’t really care what he did. He’s one of the best defenders in the world - much rather him than Maguire or any other.

It's easy to think that way when you don't know what it was, but whatever happened seemed to be serious enough that none of our ITKs thought there would be a way back for him.

If Toby stays and signs, along with a couple of other key players yet to sign, I’ll be delighted. I actually think of you told me we’d get that with no signings I’d be okay with it.

Toby signing would be a right result. As others have said means we have two weeks to sign two players. And a possible back 3 of toby, jan and dav would be quality. A new contract with no release clause will make all forgiven for me ;)

Toby signing a new deal would be as as good as buying a £50m+ CB and with the way this window stands currently, people might have to put some ego's aside to make this happen.

If Toby stays thats pretty big stuff.
Only would really need a CM .....a really top class one, hopefully not cheaping out & converting a near 23yr old championship player

Well if your previous championship players are anything to go by we could have another Harry Kane....

Toby resigning would be great.

If that happened, then signing Grealish, a new CM and a new WF then we are sorted.
